no one seems to really know and hopefull you guys do
but when you get a passive skill under a euro skill tree does it work without having that weapon?
example:
under bard there is a skill that increases range
since im rogue does that range really go up?
people say i need the weapon to get that effect
but how come chinese dont have to?
any answeres would be helpful thanks.

because the euro skills requires the weapon, as it is clearly showed in the skill description
the passives are weapon based, chinese passives just dont require weapons

I think it's only the range for the tambours... like how far away someone has to be for them to get it. Something like that. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

No. Bard's passive MP consumption reduction does not apply to anything else because it specifically says "when you use bard skills". X-Bow has an increase in range "when using crossbow skills". A very specific one is that Bard's range increase "when you use skills from music pleasure line" (Non attack skills like marches and tambours). An example of a universal passive would be a Chinese light passive, providing bonus parry ratio. Since it relates to nothing specific except for the requirement of Chinese origin, it works on all Chinese characters that have it, no matter the weapon. But because Europeans have specific weapon passives, this is not the case for them to contain a universal passive.

Euro do need to have the weapon equipped for the passives to "activate". Chinese does not. They are different. Period.

If you read the skill carefully, it will say "this increases the range for the ... line"
