Dunno if it's in the right section :D but the question's in the title. What are the differences and which one would be better (for a S/S)?

Edit: And what's 5:1, or 8:1 hybrid?

pure int: every stat point set on INT
hybrid int: not every stat point on INT, but still more int than str

S/S should go pure int since you already have defense (shield)
and want maximum nuke damage (since sword does less damage than spear)

hybrid int can be useful as spear user - however - it also makes sense to skill heuksal as well in that case - you do not only want to nuke then but also deal physical damage close up to your enemy

thats as far as I think these builds make sense
dont think hybrid int as s/s makes sense but I may be wrong

Hybrid s/s is a decent build, only you want to go only a lil bit hybrid, not much.

Depens on the values.
If u go 8:1 Hybrid u won´t notice any real big difference, neither in defence/HP nor in dmg.
If u go 5:1 Hybrid u will notice a lot more, u qill live longer, due to the def/HP, but ur dmg of ur nukes will be lower than a pure ints dmg, but ur weapon skills will hit much more. When u use spear as a 5:1 (and i won´t pretend to usew another weapon) ur nukes will do good dmg, though. If ur set is good, a pure Int S/S won´t do much more dmg, it´s definetly worth it.

im 69 hyrbid int s/s with 9.3k hp... my nuke on nachal= 6,5k max... an full int s/s can do 9-10k
but im a pretty heavy hybrid, in pvp i can kill because of my strong knock downs en stabs en i can survive because of my huge hp en shield:D

5:1 is 5 Points int per 1 point str, so every second lvl up u´ll put 1 point in str.

8:1 is 8 Points int per 1 point str, most go pure int till lvl 80 and the last 10 lvls they put str.

k, thanks.... i'll probably make a 5:1 hybrid int S/S bicheon, light, ice lvl 90 and either heuksal or fire lvl 30...which would be more suitable? heuksal or fire?

basically fire, BUT if u go 90 Bich/Light/Ice Pure int or 8:1 will be ur best choice.
I wouldn´t pretend to use s/s for a hybrid, always take spear as a Hybrid.

U won´t get a better dmg.
Ur Bicheon skills will do a lil´ better dmg, but ur nukes will do a lil´ lower dmg.
U just gain some more HP and Def.

If u would go 5:1 u will do too low dmg, that´s why u should use spear here, because spear has higher attack stats and for the loss of the def from the shield u get the Heuksal passive, which gives u a very good HP boost.

imho, hybrid is for spears and pure is for s/s

s/s already has extra defense so you can go pure
and
spears have stronger attacks (heuksal) so having extra str + the heuksal passive, you'll have more hp

No they won't. Sorry, I forgot to tell why on my last reply. The reason is that 'int gives you more mag damage' if comparing it to 'str giving phy damage'. Therefore, when using imbue, don't matter if you are str or int or w/e, the higher your int is the higher your damage will be when comparing it to increasing str (except for crits). Only when not using imbue, your damage will be higher when increasing str, as int won't change your damage without imbue. I hope you understood.

Full STR's dont rely that much on imbue ...
I think you missed some topics raphaell666.

Before anything, I'm not sure I got your point. If you see I got it wrong then please say (I read the topic you linked me to).

I know that full STR's don't rely a lot on imbue (we're talking about hybrids anyways). I simply stated on my last reply that increasing INT will be increasing your damage further than if you had increased STR. That's pretty much why full STR's don't really rely on imbue, as they haven't got that much int which would be increasing their mag dmg. Am I wrong? Have you read my entire last reply?
