My bard is pretty sexy... and I was like "Hmm.. I wonder how long until you get even more sexier. So I looked under his skills... Mana Switch coming up (USELESS)...Hit March coming up (USELESS!) Some dances coming up (USELESS because other bards seem to be noob and not know how it works)... So basically there is nothing coming up for me until lovely level 60. That's a loooooong way. I am sad... and wish I could transfer my gold ticket, sp ticket, bear, and slyph XD.

I've already maxed all the skills like the horror chords and such lol. Although I guess that is a possibility. Even though he's already subbed cleric, but only for Bless and Reverse.
and my bard's only lvl 34, so it won't really take that long.. maybe about... 3 days if I get leveled? I got to lvl 20 on the 2nd day just playing by myself.
Bard is so much fun at the higher levels. It's worth it to stick it out. Your a support character that doesn't require a lot of watching from the other party members so it's easy to get into high lvl parties, but you also get to attack and do a pretty good job of it. If you're bored at lower levels you can always get a wiz sub to play as well, but if you stick to parties, you will lvl fast and have fun. Also don't think the dances are a waste, I didn't get to use mine until around the penons really, but that was mainly because most people don't see the benefits of the two tambours and the dance until later. At a wings party, my tambour saves the tank about 1000 damage per hit (in addition to the other buffs). Just my personal opinion, but hey I'm a lvl 80 bard, so obviously I like playing them.

I agree with SlyckMyx. Try to stick it out. Bards really start to shine at higher levels.
In my opinion, smart parties don't go into Roc Mountain without at least one bard, preferrably two. The dances become very important. So does having two tambours.
Heck, once we had a party in Generals where the wizards had to leave one by one until we were left with 3 tanks, 2 bards & a cleric. Rather than quitting, we cast Dance of Valor and the party still killed almost as fast as the traditional euro party. Get creative with your skills.
Oh, and Hit March isn't totally useless. If you have the opportunity to use it, having the entire party hitting at the high end of their damage more often = faster killing = faster xp = faster levelling.

Lol, at higher levels bard really shines, barder nukes are a bit weaker than chinese nukes and their attack speed is amazing, bards can deal damage faster than some people think, is an underestimated build.
In reply to boast: I have no regrets choosing bard/cleric. I absolutely love the build. It helps that I am in an active mostly euro guild ( PPC) in an active union.
I solo as a bard - I find it much faster than as a cleric. And I save loads of gold on pots that way - Recovery Division instead of HP pots, Mana Cyle instead of MP pots. The tambours add to my defense. It's an all-around great build for my playing style. I have a lot of fun KSing the Chinese nukers - I can get off two nukes and kill the mob(s) in the time it takes them to try to cast one.
I can play either cleric or bard in a party, whichever is needed. To those who say that clerics and bards are afk/leeching builds in a party, if that is how the clerics/bards you play with are, then they are not great ones. I'm super active, whether bard or cleric. My goal is always to keep the MP/HP bars at full. I admit to failing sometimes (usually when I get distracted by attacking). I get a laugh when my party mates say "Uh, oh, it's the zerking bard again." I'm always moving, using skills, attacking when I can. The build is as fun as you decide to make it.

I still love bard, its just the huge gap between new useful skills thats annoying. I was looking forward to getting another chord so that I wouldn't have to use tuning noise for a secondary attack and would thus be able to land 2 major hits and then have booming chord when they got close. But alas!
