im gonna say that it all kind of depends where you end. What if you find a really good deal on a sosun glavie +7 and you get it well then of course your gonna be stronger and be able to kill a unique faster than a bower of the same level this also works for the visa versa case. You never know whats gonna happen or whats gonna be better for you in the long run. just do what you like or watch some pvp/pve videos and decide which one you like better. both are very strong pure str builds so the choice is ultimately up to you

wel it depends on what u want to be (prob pure str), for pure str:
based on 80cap:
80 Pach
80 Fire
80 Ligtht
60 Ice

and for wich skills u use, then go to a FAQ/GUIDE for bow, wich offers a lot more info then just this.

GoodLuck with your build :)

Well , most people take fire since it is the most damaging imbue among all 3,Cold,Light and Fire.
I can give some pros and cons about the forces but i don't know how the bow build will be at 90 cap since i also ain't high lvl.

Cold:
Pros:
Can give Frostbite to slow ur enemy down and can give freeze wich freezes the enemy for a set amount of time.
Cons:
Lowest dealing imbue among other imbues.

Light:
Pros:
Can decrease the parry ratio of your enemy to make urself /others deal more damage to the enemy.Has AoE.(Area off effect, that will make mobs aggresive)
Cons:
Actually none imo.

Fire:
Pros:
Highest damage of all imbues. Gives DoT(Damage over Time).
Cons:
Actually none imo.

sadly enough i could not find a good guide so look urself :

And the other answer on your question:
PvE= Player Versus Enviroment else said Player Versus Mobs.

There are some bow guides, just google "SilkRoad Bow Guide" and you'll find some, I promise you.

The bad point about cold is that many level 80's are immune to it, and low damage. The advantages are great for monsters and uniques, though.

The bad point about lightning is to hit more than 1 monster, therefore making them gang up on you (if you like that, then it's cool).

Fire is a nice imbue for solo damage, also gives a burn, but dont count much on it.

Some brief explanations about the main archer builds:

Full Int Bow - ARE YOU NUTS?! Dont even think about this. Period.

Hybrid 80:80 bow - Best build for killing uniques and for killing monsters, but not as good for PvP. However, archers were always meant for support anyways. Cold or Lightning are best for this.

Pure STR bow - kinda bad average damage, but strong critical, speccially if you use Anti-Devil Bow, who crits more easily. Fire imbue, due to the passive skills, buffs and so, is the best for this. It's a tanker, so it does good in PvP.
