 Post subject: Jobbing is going to non-sense

Jobbing became an issue when it became required to be " almost " max level to pretend doing a job ( any job )

It didn't go better with the increasing amount of sun items ( 50 sun weapon for D8 on Troy , i think )

Recently it turned into complete non-sense whith on both side , hunter and thief there is a cleric (or more) that isn't with job suit and rez/buff everyone and perpetually.


Once a trade is spotted it s a matter of time untill " jobbing" becomes a 20 vs 20 fight with neverending rez and forever fight on both sides.

As i see it takes about 40-60 mins then thiefs have managed to steal the goods piece by piece.


I don't think i m funny if i say the player are wasting 4 or 5 times the trade value in potions...

Without forgetting that the fun is dead .

Yea, its very true. On hercules for thieves it takes ages to robb 15*'s. Like there is 5 80 hunters and 3 lvl 40+ trades with 5 star. During the trade run whole bunch hiigh lvl thieves spot them. Then hunters call back -up and the trade becomes "JOB WAR". So i think joymax should do something about jobs. I loved the special job suits they were hella sexy but now there is only lik 4 in my servers which costs over 100M.

It is meant to be like that. One 5 star is meant to start a job war. What do you want an easy ride from point A-B or to jack a trade without much effort. pfft That is so boring, do you know how rewarding it feels to complete a trade run after fighting against all odds or to steal a full 5 star after fighting for over 40 minutes. It is one of the most exhilarating feelings ever.

This new Generation of SRO players are so lazy :banghead:

Jobless/unsuited cleric spoils the fun. Nothing wrong with the jobwar lasting longer than it should (there isnt a rule to limit the time to start with), but having clerics that couldnt be killed (spare pking) makes the game frustrating for everyone. This problem has been addressed to JM, so lets just hope changes would be made to fix this.

My point was only about Elise says,

the non-jobbing players, whoever they are should't be able to " interfer" with any jobbing players in any way . ( beside pk , wich is by definition some kind of " outlaw " behavior )

The new pk system will change all of this, and make having suited clerics far better than having unsuited clerics. :wink:

New System:
Someone goes pink, and someone attack back that person goes pink as well.
In other words, capped players punch low lvls, then low lvls attack back and they get killed. And murdering someone at lvl 60+ has almost no repercussion due to percentage loss being so low.

As for jobbing, I dont think its so bad. It gives lower lvls an incentive to lvl so they can be part of the fun. JM will not fix it because those low lvls will pay for tickets so they can get capped and be a part of the fun. I will admit that as of 80 cap the amount of players willing to go solo trading has significantly been lowered. The only people willing to trade are ones in a hunter/ trader union with 20 hunters by their side. Furthermore there are only about 100 capped traders as apposed to thief/ hunter with close to 400 of each.

As for being a lvl 20-60, jobbing isn't really worth it and not meant for them anymore.

jobbing isn't gonna suck so bad lol. look up several good ksro jobbing vids on youtube. they are quite fun.

It's a good idea.
No interference from outside.
But, if they change this for the jobbing part of the game, they should do it all the way, meaning, no interference from outside while PvP (cape) and guild war too.
All these 3 are based on pvp, so they all need to be fixed/changed, not only the jobbing part.

I hate to see when some guild wants to war and flame all the time, and when the war starts, people from outside are healing/buffing/barding etc.

the fact that someone attacking an offender ( pink ) would become offender himself is kind of stupid...

it would mean that
either you let yourself get killed without fighting back , in order to have the ofender be a pk.
either you fight back, become pink too, and give him the opportunity to kill you without penalty .

What do you gain ? Nothing ,
with old system, not fighting back also made him go pk,
and fighting back you could kill him without penalty, but if he did ( the offender ) he got pk anyway .

Conclusion
1 ) no gain for people would don't do random pk,
2 ) not link with the non jobbed cleric,



The part about " you want to be high level to be part of the fun " only applies in a world without bots, bots-plvling , and ebay ready-made character...
If this can apply for our world , id'like to be informed.

In a world without bots or powerlvl most players would be between 40-60 and they game would be quite enjoyable for them. And the new pk system is more like a dual system also you get exp from killing them \o/

I agree with the OP. I could easily take my force nuker, and get involved in job wars without wearing a suit, but IMHO it ruins the entire jobbing experience. I've seen 20-30 minute jobwars over a trade without the outside cleric/force res; we don't need them for that. All you have to do now is keep that transport down; everything else is irrelevant.

Won't that system lead to more ppl attempting to make npc's kill you while fighting Giants Parties. The present way I can at least defend myself but if I go pink for shooting them and they hvae the jump on me...

lol guild wars if some one will cheat in a guild war they aren't worth even fighting, call me crazy

as for jobbing yes unsuited clerics/ the rare but still exsistant force users should not be allowed to do anything but watch

The slight difference between iSro and the rest of the world being " joymax does not do any kind of good preventive debugging " ( nor support ) .

much of the abuses and people's anger comes from the fact that they don't really check the effects of theyr decisions before implementing .

i think some1 should post on silkroad.net forums a suggestion: unsuited players cant resurrect players wearing a suit, would make more fun and fair. but im too lazy to post it :P
