Hi , Im a lvl 20 Str Glaive and currently doing some Sp Farming

I read in some guides to get a SOS bow which is good for farming at the archer's den.

However the cost of the bow i could get a wolf , and i would like to know which is better to invest in ..?

Is it too late to buy a wolf ?

How fast does the wolf levels and does it shares your exp ?

Thanks it sounds noob but i really like to know .

get the bow, it's a fast resell later on, u can lvl up a wolf really fast later on especially if ur gapping nething above 3, in addition a wolf costs money when it dies. u shud be fighing chakjis and those aggro like crazy at sum spots = lots of wolf death. thus, my conclusion is buy the bow

The wolf lvls up extremely fast, until it reaches a lvl that is about 3-4 lvls under you.

I do agree that you have to watch out that youre wolf dies. But that isnt that hard, just dont get mobbed + a wolf can take quite a bit damage. If you are allready up 2 level 20 and have a glavie, and dont plan on using the bow other then sp farming. I suggest buy a wolf.

Just lvl it up on lower monsters first, and then keep it passive till it reached a lvl just under yours. That way it doesnt get mobbed that fast and still gains the exp.

however , if i do sp farming , would it be faster to kill with the wolf or the bow ? as in a long run , would it be still useful down the road ?

Do the wolf shares your exp ?

It would be much faster to kill with the bow. A newborn wolf will hardly do any damage and would take minutes to kill rather than seconds using the bow. I would just use the bow, sell off item drops to get more money then buy the wolf...

As far as the wolf being worth it down the road, I definately believe so. It may not do much dmg to mobs your lvl, it would add just enough dmg at times to save you an extra attack. Less pots wasted on a skill to kill a mob with only a sliver of life left

But a 16 Sos bow cost about 1m , isnt it better to have a wolf instead?

What you can do is just buy the bow, SP farm until the right amount that you needed, then resell. Theres usually someone looking for a level 16 bow anyway, and if the critical is good then thats a + for you. After selling ur bow, you can buy ur wolf easily. Oh and since ur at level 20, you should re-think about SP farming, I heard its better to do so at level 16, or at a higher level.

Hope this helped. :D

Oh btw, your wolf gets their own exp. and you get your own. It doesn't split from the amount you would normally get or anything, or at least im thinking that because my friend's wolf gets their own exp., while he gets his own. So if you kill something with your wolf just by your side and not attacking, both of you get exp.
