I am quite new in this game, so i have many questions but i'll start off with the ones bothering me the most.

First of all the forum itself, i do not know how to use the IRC at all, i keep pressing status, nothing happends. I copy and paste the text below, nothing happends.
Connecting or chaning channel doesn't work either.
And if you wonder, i do have the latest Java version.

Second, i wish to purchase silk but after filling in all the credit card details, it requires a Bank ID, which is the part where i got lost and gave up, anyone came across this?

And speaking of Silk purchase, how does the "Loot pickup pet" work?
Not sure but someone told me that it last 4 weeks, if not you will have to pay another 48 silk for it to last 4 more weeks, or it will dissappear, is that correct?

Question # 3:
I heard that to become a strong player you'll need alot of Skill Points - ALOT.
And in order to achieve the top status you much spend alot of time behind your computer - ALOT!
So farming this massive amount of SP might lead to me losing my job, gainining weight or simply forgetting what is outside this dark room of mine.
Anyway enough sillyness, let's move on to my question which i started writing;
What is the amount of SP a player gains by leveing up from 17-110 (Is 110 really the max level?)
- With a level 0 Cap which i believe is regular? (Yes, i read a guide in this forum about SP farming, hurray for Google!)
So i figured out i will need about 2 Million SP to be a great player and getting 150 SP per hour means i will "only" have to waste 13000 hours watching the screen.
Basically i just need to know the amount of SP i will have to farm, that's it - Thank you. =)
(I apologize for the massive amount of letters in this simple post, i inhalated far too much caffeine.)

Also, another silly question:
How come there are absolutely so many bot in this game, and Joymax does not remove them, it ruins the game for others?
Of course, speaking of ruining the game - What's with all the rude players who wander around, steal your kills and swear at you?
Not to mention to lack of english skills within most of the players.
Shouldn't there be a nice and polite community?

Well thank you for your answers.
Best regards,
Elari

Hi Elari,

You're starting with the hot stuff right on. Unfortunately I can't tell you anything about silk, except it costs real money. Pet bought with silk are four weeks with you, indeed.
I asked some questions about bots in the past. The mainline: there must be some profit for Joymax, else they were expelled long ago.
My way of gaining experience: create a character, go out the city, make all possible errors. Till level 10 you're semi-immortal, resurrection at the location where you died, travelling through all portals (city2city) without paying 1 gold. Stop at level 10.
Make a new character and start the real live with all you've learned.

By the way: this site is great!
I met a lot of nice people and they are a great help (till this day on).

Good luck.

I'm not sure what part of the forum you don't understand, maybe you can be a bit more specific =p

Second, i wish to purchase silk but after filling in all the credit card details, it requires a Bank ID, which is the part where i got lost and gave up, anyone came across this?
I can't help you with this because I never used a creditcard to buy silk.

And speaking of Silk purchase, how does the "Loot pickup pet" work?

A pick up pet will be with you for 28 days from the moment you summon it, unsummoning it won't stop the time. When the time runs out the pet is 'dead' and is shown as a grey icon, in order to revive it you just have to buy a 1 day or 4 week pet clock and use it on the pet.

It really depends on your build/race how much you actually need to be farmed. But you get around 300k going 0 gap from 1 to 100, 100-110 is atleast another 300k but after lvl 100 you have alot of repeatable quests etc so it's alot easier to gain sp.

Also, another silly question:

As I said before on the forum and ingame, this game is great but the community sucks. It's filled with douchebags who think they are god and then whine when they die. But do not worry, you will be able to find a nice guild or atleast group of people you can have fun with.

Well thank you for your answers.
Best regards,
Elari

Yes sir, actually i do have a question.
However i might as well post it here:

I also play on the server Iris as the gentleman who posted above, but i'd like to know how i am able to add that icon below my avatar which displays the server i play on?

Second question is about my first post regarding SP.
Since i would never ever stand at 1 spot and Grind for 1 year.
So i'd rather be playing the newbish way and level up slowly, maybe with a 5 Cap - in that case, how much SP would i get from 20-110 or atleast which Cap do i need to level up with in order to save myself for 50% of the SP farming.

Thank you.

Click profile on the top of the screen
click "profile" again on the left of the screen
on the right side put in "Iris" in the "Location" field

As for gap it will depend on whether you want Euro or Chinese. Chinese can usually level better with a gap than European characters can. A 4-gap is tough to play on and a 9 gap - which is typically maximum you would want - is almost impossible to maintain for more than 1 level.

oh, and as for charging silk: I have done it with prepaid credit cards (gift cards) before, do not use Moneybookers as they will want your information to sign up. I used the alternate method Playspan successfully, also did Paypal but I don't use the Paypal account, rather just the gift card itself. You can buy silk without ever providing your real name or address this way. The downside is that you cannot charge back.

Lastly, join a legit guild on Iris! Nocuous is legit, no botting allowed, or Girlpower is ok too if you don't mind the name.

oh rev6 has a skill point calculator
http://nivlam.rev6.com/

17-110 shows about 561k with 0 gap, if you 5 gap the entire way it's only 1.7 mill sp. you may want to split the farming up, farm at ongs with powerlevel, farm again in cave, etc etc

Add 'Iris' to your location in the profile section.

Second question is about my first post regarding SP.

5 gap will do fine if you don't try to max every single skill, just get the main ones up to that lvl and leave the rest a bit lower and you will do fine. But as the guy above me said, going 9 gap several times along the way is alot easier to do. (9 gap is the max usefull gap you can have, any higher gap wont increase your sp gain)

Thank you.

Maybe I read it wrong, I'm not sure about the sp calculators but sro.mmosite has the right one AFAIK. I was more talking about the sp vs gap table which is wrong, the right amounts are in a topic on rev6 forum but I have no idea where to find that one haha.

Wow, thank you very much all three of you, It really helped.

Regarding Guilds, did i misunderstand you or did you just reccomend a guild for me?
In that case do they have specific level requirements?

Anyway i am on the lookout for a active guild which consist of 100% English language with polite and friendly players.

I made some suggestions - it depends on how you play :) It also depends on the long-term, more than a few people choose not to play legitimately due to the extreme SP requirements.

Neither one of these guilds I mentioned have level requirements, no. That usually happens with larger guilds and higher level characters for fortress wars, and neither guild is very large or high level (only a couple of 90+ players). Both of them have 99% english speakers, we have several people in union who speak both English and another language. We've been trying to get people in Skype or TS or Ventrilo as well; makes partying or jobbing much easier.

There are many other active and good guilds, but there are not a ton of guilds that do not have botters in them, and that is likely true for most servers. Again, it is still your choice who you join :) Maybe you should try the game out, try grinding and partying first and then get into a guild.

Thank you,
I will keep playing and eventually find a decent Guild if i am wanted.

About Skype, it sure is a great tool and i use skype daily, however on Norwegian.
When it comes to speaking english generally i am totally blank, it really is embarrassing. :palm:

And i still didn't figure out how to use IRC on SilkRoadForums. :(

Another question, does a 110 player still get SP for killing monsters or does he have to get all the SP neccesary before he hits 110?

Alexandria's quests give you quite a big amount of SP(so many are repeatable for ever). So if u are missing a bit at lv 100, u'll get it on the way. But it's best to farm as much u need at ongs.

Uh..no, when you get to max level at a cap and to the amount exp needed for lvl up minus 1 (so if you need 454362346 to lvl up you will stop at 454362345 exp). At that moment you will stop getting exp but you will still get the sp.
