Hi!
I have had this idea about making an high definition media.pk2 for Silkroad for some time. But i wonder, is it possible to change the groundtextures? Textures for buildings, mountains etc? Im asking first to see if it's possible, if it is possible the rest wont be so hard.

Dunno, but it would be much better, when also the shadows' location is changed, like when the sun is shining from the east, then the shadows would appear on the ground, west of the object. Also, the wind should be changed, like the wind should not be always blowing against the face of the char, even when the char turns it remains the same. The wind should blow from the sides too and not move with the char when it turns.
Sro has bad textures, but it is different from other mmos.

The wind and shadow effects are not related to the Media.pk2, as far as I know. That would be part of the physical engine the game runs.
OT: I think you could easily open up the texture files, edit them and re-pack. I am sure there's a guide here or Cruor could probably guide you to it.
