So I'm new to SRO, and MMORPGs in general, and I have a few questions.
Is there a maximum number of times a character can die? I'm currently doing the Sweeping Bandit Archer quest, and while I'm merrily killing the bandits, my character profile begins to glow in red. I ignore it and continue playing, after a while I die and am not asked where I want to revive. Looks like this:

So, yeah. My guess was that my character may have died to many times or something like that, or perhaps that I should just restart the game(have not done so yet, because I don't want to have to wait for hours to get back onto the server). I hope someone more experienced can help me.
Next question is, how do I form a party? CAN I even form a party at my level (currently lvl 11)? like I said earlier, I'm new to MMORPGs and don't know exactly how having a party works, but sometimes when I'm out grinding or doing my quests I encounter people who seem to be at the same level as me, and I think that maybe it would be fun to hunt these things together. This questions is as much a question about HOW to form a party as it is about MMORPG culture. Do I just join/create a party with whoever I like just like that, or am I supposed to "know" them, or hunt the same creatures or something?
Also, I frequently receive party invites from high level players who I assume are going into the Qin-Shi tomb. I usually decline, as I think it feels stupid to be in a party with people doing an entirely different thing. Is this considered rude? Would it be better if I joined the party but then went on with my own buisness?
On a different subject, is there even any point in trying to sell the low level items I pick up in a stall? Would anyone buy them or is it better just to sell them to the shopkeeper NPCs?
Oh, and the guilds. Mustn't forget to ask about the guilds. I've seen guides on how to create guilds, but how do i join one? And why would I want to join one? Once I'm in the guild, what will I be "expected" to do, do guilds normally do any events of some sort or do they just "exist"?

...And that's it, I think. Thanks in advance for any help.

Edit: I would like to point out that I haven't been playing continuously since April, when I joined. I downloaded it, played for two days then just left it until I re-discovered it on my hard drive a week ago.

- You can die as many times as you want.
- Try clicking on your character and then the thing should pop back up.
- You have 2 kinds of partys:
1. 4/4 party: exp free-for-all and items free-for-all, you will get 10% more exp if you are with 4 in a party. (LVL does NOT matter) These are the invites you get from bot players.
2. 8/8 party: exp share and items share, don't go in this party at that low lvl you better take a 4/4 party. This kind of party just shares everything.
- Yes npc the low lvl items except if its a seal of star / moon or sun item.

I hope it helped you a bit.
Welcome to sro

I'll give you a brief description.

1. You can't die too many times. The pic you posted says that you probably pressed tab, whether alt-tabbing or accidentally, because you have berserk mode on. That means for that duration you do ~double damage. You know when you can do it by those orb thingies next to your HP and MP bars.

2. Parties
You can make parties from level 5. For setting up, press P, and click on set, or something like that. Here you can set if you want an 8- or 4-man party.

2.1 4-man parties
These are very simple. When you are in one with 3 other people, you get 10% more SP and EXP from hunting mobs, regardless of where the other 3 people are.

2.2 8-man parties
These are more complex. When you are in a party like this, and kill mobs close to each other (say, roughly if you can see the other player), all exp will be distributed evenly between players. If two of you kill, each of you gain 50-50% of all exp from all mobs and so on.

Join 4-man parties whenever you can, it's good for you and the others too.

3. Guilds. Simply ask a guild member to invite you.

I wrote all this in 5 minutes half asleep, so if someone would be so kind to expand it...

I think you died while you were in zerk, but I'm sure it has no negative/positive effects.

Hit P on your keyboard ,then you can invite people, turn on item share and experience share(or turn it off), you can also put you party in a board with loads of other parties. So people will join faster. I doubt you will get in an experiene share and item share party at this level, because that only is at around 80+.

Also, I frequently receive party invites from high level players who I assume are going into the Qin-Shi tomb. I usually decline, as I think it feels stupid to be in a party with people doing an entirely different thing. Is this considered rude? Would it be better if I joined the party but then went on with my own buisness?
I think those are 4man parties, or exp distribution parties, mostly the chinese race uses it, when you are in a full exp distribution party you will gain an additional 10% experience from every monster you kill.

On a different subject, is there even any point in trying to sell the low level items I pick up in a stall? Would anyone buy them or is it better just to sell them to the shopkeeper NPCs?
I think it's better to sell them at the NPC's, because nobody really needs it.

Oh, and the guilds. Mustn't forget to ask about the guilds. I've seen guides on how to create guilds, but how do i join one? And why would I want to join one? Once I'm in the guild, what will I be "expected" to do, do guilds normally do any events of some sort or do they just "exist"?
Guilds, hmm, I don't know, but I doubt there are any low level guilds on iSRO(someone please answer this question more specific :D), I wouldn't create one myself if I were you, because you will need the money, some guilds do events, some do not, and you are not expected to do something other than coming online atleast a few times in a week :D

Also, I would recommend you to quit international silkroad online(the one you are playing now).
You can quit silkroad at all, because the game it has become is shyt.
You can also try to join tSRO(taiwanese silkroad online), lots of people started there, and the GM's are actually banning bots there! (hurray for tsro! ) I think it's better to start there, because I think you won't enjoy it if you need to make your way up in iSRO.
How to join tSRO? you can find a guide here; viewtopic.php?f=45&t=112243&start=0

Won't it all be in taiwanese? No it won't, there are lots of SRF'ers who are there to help you out, you will be in a guild in no time, and the quests/HUD/other stuff is in english.

Thanks for the answers so far.
I remembered another things I've been wondering about. The jewel boxes and Protector's Seals. What are they used for and where is "Event So-Ok"?

You can trade your jewel boxes at so-ok (she is somewhere near the dragon in jangan) you can get scrolls etc...
Find 39 protector seals and 1 guardian seal, go to so - ok and trade them in for a ali baba seal, wait till the end of the event you could win a sos / som / sun 10D weap.

In venus share parties are to be found at all level ranges. Admittedly 80+ parties are more common. But just invite a random guy on your hunting spot and it has a decent chance of working.

Stalling your drops gives you good money and it teaches you market prices.
Stalling one's drops is the first practical step to moneymaking. See my guide :

You can create your own guild alright, you're not expected to do anything other than "being active" if it's a good guild.

As for iSRO, it is fine.
Plenty of goldbots alright, but plenty of players as well.
