Yeah you can go hybrid if you want.

Question is how much of a hybrid do you want to be?

1:2 = Good damage with your weapon skills but your nukes won't be very good
1:5 = Decent nukes and weapon skills
1:7 = Good nukes but low attack with your weapon sills

So pretty much 1:2 = heavy hybrid. You can take a lot more damage then a pure int but the damage you dish out will be less then a pure int

1:5 = half way hybrid. Your nukes and weapon skills do good damage. But you don't do as much damage as a pure int and you can't tank as much as a 1:2 hybrid

1:7 = Pretty much the same has a pure int. Your nukes attacks will be slightly lower but in return you'll gain a little bit more hp.

If you are lvl 20, then you have leveled 19 times. With 19 level ups you receive 57 points, to become now a 2:1 hybrid int you should have extra 19 STR points, and less 19 INT points. So, for the next 9 levels you add only STR, on the tenth level up, add 2 str and 1 int, and then from there on you go adding 2int 1str each level up. Follow exactly what I said, and you'll be a 2:1 hybrid int (at lvl 30 you'll achieve the 2:1 hybrid int ratio, after that you just have to keep it up). :)

With a hybrid int 7:1 your nukes will be good. A 2:1 hybrid int spear will nuke sort of well too (though not in pvp), but the 7:1 would do way better at nuking. Yeah, if you want to nuke then go either 1:5 hybrid int or 1:7 hybrid int.

The difference is pretty small, if you are not going to have any weapon skills then go either pure int or 1:8 hybrid int.

There's an easier way of doing this.
I have a 1:5 hybrid spear. It's mag balance naked is 85%.
So a 1:8 hybrid spear's mag balance would be something around 90-92%. I believe.

It's actually 89%.

To build a 1:8 hybrid int spear, simply whenever you level, take off all your equipment, and then add int (or str) trying to rise your mag balance up (or lowering it) to get to 89%. Go adding only int (if mag balance < 89%) or adding STR (if mag balance > 89%) , and then, once you achieve it, you add the rest of the points to STR (if there are any left).

Press C ingame to view your character info. There is "Mag. Balance :" in there.

T.N.T wrote:

We mean exactly what it says. Take off all your equipment so any STR and INT ++ on your equipment won't affect your balances. You also should take care when you have premium, because it adds STR and INT to your char and therefore change your balance.

You only need to take off your equipment/weapons/jewelry that have str or int added on to them.

lol...
Do whatever you want. Are you sure you read what we wrote? It's not that hard. Anyways, if you are going pure int, don't worry about those 3 points in str.

In a extremely simple way, if you want to make a hybrid int 8:1 on your char which already has 3 points of STR, all you need to do is simply add more 27 str points (9 levels), so you'll be a hybrid int 8:1 once you get to 90 level. I hope you can understand this.

You don't need to understand this: The only problem in doing it this last way I told, is that if you add those 27 str points soon, you'll only get to the ratio of a 1:8 hybrid int once you get to level 90. That's not really a problem anyways.

What a hybrid int 1:8 has on 90 cap, is 10 levels of STR (30 points) and 79 levels of INT(237 points).

Independently of hybrid ratios, if you simply add those 10 lvls of STR you are going to do just fine with maxed cold (and snow shield) in garment.

Either protector or garment.
Since your a "heavy" hybrid *8:1* I'd say go with protector. Just in case you run into any giants

At 90 cap, yes. You simply put 30 points on str and the rest on int to be a hybrid int 1:8, at 90 lvl.

Assuming you are going with 90 cold (which you really should be, but to ask about this I think you should ask in Characters&Skills section) I'd say that until like lvl 80, you could go with protector as you'd lack phy defense. At cap and near cap, you should be wearing garment, because 90 cold already gives you a considerable amount of phy defense, also in addition, it has snow shield and you'll be able to easily tank while under it, but as it greatly consumes your mana points, going with garment for that extra -20%mp consumption certainly helps without sacrificing your survivability, and actually increasing it against int builds which are most of the high damage dealers.
