Ok I use to play this a long time ago when ths europe thing didn't exist and the cap was like 70 or something. I got on today and everywhere is just bots. You walk to a shop and everyone is in the same place, you go to kill mobs and theres people killing them and when I talk they either dont answer or pick up 1 item then run to the next. I remeber when I played there was a bot problem but at least there was somewhat of a community. The fun part of MMO's is knowing theres someone behind every character. Botting complelty ruined the point of pvp for me I don't think people should play on accounts they didn't earn.

So do you guys actually find this game fun knowing that everyone isn't real?

I think silkroad should be shutdown but joymac would rather collect the money from all the bots rather then providing a fair, fun envoirment for us that actually play.

Silkroad is an awesome game but has the worst community I have ever seen.

i agree on some levels, but SRO shouldn't be shutdown. Although joymax does ignore the bot problem, it is still a fun game. I think its the best MMORPG thats free, if you ignore the bots. If joymax could focus more on the JOY part, SRO will be amazing. Sadly this is not the case, it is just bot after bot. Who knows, maybe sro should be shut down, but there is no other free mmorpg that is worth playing. (that i know of)

I think you're just on the wrong server.

Venus - they have a lot set up there already, and legits control the server. Constant new waves of legits coming in weekly if not daily. Plenty of good active guilds to join.

Odin - Legits rule here as well, MaliceArmy and union seem like nice people. I was there right before Hera to test a few things and from what I can remember there was some 2x and up parties. Also I've heard they don't have as many goldbots as other servers.

Hera - Well of course I'm going to say my server. We could use some new legits here as some have given up. Though, traffic on this server has been pretty bad lately, so if you don't plan on buying silk for a premium I honestly don't recommend it.

Lol, odin isn't legit at all. In fact, it's the most bot filled server imo. I one time started a char there, nothing but bots, as far as the eyes can see.

There's going to be plenty of bots on every server, the difference is the quantity and quality of the legit community.

Heh Odin is the only server I've really played on, and if you think that the bot problem isn't THAT bad, then I would hate to see all the other servers. Shutting Silkroad down isn't going to do anything really... there are still some people who enjoy playing it even though it's filled with bots, and Joymax will be making a hellava lotta money from player bots buying silk.

IMO SRO is only fun in higher levels, unless you euro. If you're a euro char then you get to party with your friends and they level with u step by step as you move into the 30s,40s,50s, etc. However, if you're chinese then you have to solo your way to 60, which an average person may take about a year to hit the max level (80) while euros hit it within half a year with a good party and GT.

Next, fortress war is very nice. You get to compete with other unions for fame, glory, money, and more. Its a great experience for teamwork for ur union.

a good party can be alot of fun, chinese wasn't bad either it was fun to have distro parties with guild mates and talk while grinding, with euro you really do put alot more work into grinding then a chinese does, even if you take less time its more work per actual grind, a hardcore euro party with 20+ mobs at once and a constant stream coming in, heal heal heal heal buff buff, make sure its safe to attack nuke nuke nuke, mp self mp1 mp2 mp3 mp4 mp5 mp 6 mp self mp 7 mp 1, debuff debuff debuff dot dot another mob debuff debuff debuff dot dot back to 1st one repeat, taunt slash taunt taun slash tuan slash taunt slash buff buff buff taunt slash sprint assualt taunt. euro party is alot less casual when partying then you can be when you grind on a chinese, no real time to stop and talk (talking gets people killed, though as a tank i tank better while talking for some reason). Jobbing is always fun even low lvl. Solo though i can still get about half as much in the same time as i do when i party, but i often stop to talk when soloing.

I think what i hate now days is if you join a distro party dont' expect any one else to be on the other end to talk to, its just not as fun in that sense, i like meeting and talking to people from all around the world, gold bots make it harder, and i don't really meet as many people out side who i party grind with or union

Legits are great though Venus.

I enjoy the game a lot, or at least I use to. The game used to be alive but bots killed that feeling.

I'm going to venus once I can log on and start building my character. It sucks to restart.
