If you could tell someone who just started the game, one thing, and one thing only, what would it be? (first person to say "quit" or something similiar loses 10,000 cool points ;p).
The one thing I would tell someone just starting is to farm all your sp before you're at level cap.

I remember this actual level 24 trader walked out in the middle of a jobwar. Owned instantly.
