Account security much?

Well, as we all know, the account security in sro isnt anything flash. I was lurking around for other mmo's to see what they are like. One i have been looking at is perfect world.

This is their unique security system.

To prevent players' account from hackers, Perfect World has put in a Phone Lock feature for those who wish to use it. The Phone Lock, when activated, freezes the account until the player phones in using the registered number, when successful, it unfreezes the account for ten minutes and therefore giving player access log in within the given time. After the unfreezing time, the account will once again be locked up, but the player still online will be able to continue playing, only that if he/she logged out, they cannot log in until lock is deactivated again using Phone Lock.

Now, i know this kind thing will never be implemented into sro, but the idea seems pretty dam good. So the purpose of this thread, for people to give any open ideas about ways to improve account security in SRO. Obviously i know they will never get implemented but i wanna know if people have any good ideas...as they will help me out in my future... "adventures" :roll:

This idea SUCKS big time. Does SRO think that we will all call them to unfreeze our account? and everytime we dc we need to call again.... That would make Joynax alot of money BUT it will cost us like tons. Our phone bill will be so high.

i'd have to say the best security measure that can be implemented is...
the users of the game choosing a i dunno.. more secure password...

most people seem to have short easy to access passwords/security question&answers.. even login ID's.. X.x

I've never had a problem o.o and I'm sure I've pissed off a lot of people :S

Clearly enough there would be a call center in most major countries. The call just requires you to enter a code, it would take 30 seconds. The call would cost only a few cents.

Btw, im not referring this to joymax in anyways. Perfect world is on alot higher scale than SRO.

So yes, it is on a much higher scale, so it IS a good idea for it, but not for sro for clear enough reasons.

Now anyone got any other good idea they are willing to part with.? Or any other good examples from other games.?

And why not put it in iSRO?

Because iSRO are players from all over the world and to call Joymax in Korea would make your phone bill pretty high.
