I use pots mostly. Skill takes 2 seconds...in that time. The gankers have ganked me.

Skill uses crutial Mp

Sitting takes too long

Pot's are near perfect there nearly instant and don't use up Mp or Hp but they cost me a bomb now for the amount i get through

I have a pure INT character and a pure STR character

For the INT I skill heal, unless i'm actively fighting, then i pot.
Pure STR just pots.

Only sit if i'm bored, or there's no immediate target and can't be bothered to look for one.

I use pots, skill, and sitting combined :) pots during battle, skill if i have plenty of mana, and sitting if i am low on both and am doing two things at once :) (say chatting with people on here)

How much mp/hp points should one have before being able to switch from medium to large pots?

i normally switch up to bigger pots when one isn't enough to cure me for 20-25% of my total anymore.

Switch to bigger pots when you start fighting in areas where fighting three or four mobs at once are damaging you faster than your pots can heal you.

Pots are essential for non-stop mob fighting. You simply won't be able to survive otherwise, particularly at higher levels.

However, while I do pot 90% of the time, I will occasionally cast Heal Other on myself when there's no immediate danger. One more pot saved is one more pot to use when I really need it.

For regenerating very small amounts, I sit. Mostly I do this while trading- I'll run a few yards ahead of the camel and then sit down untill it catches up. Again, more pots saved for a desperate time.

x| I sit most of the time. I'm always 1 hit away from dying and I'd have plenty of pots, but I only use enough so that i'm 2-3 hits away from dying.

INSTED OF USEING THE SKILL HEAL THAT IS FOR YOUR SELF USE THE ONE THAT HEALS THE OTHER GUY--you just select your self as target and heal 400 hp insted of 135 hp, believe me it's worth it!

just though it might be a helpfull hint for the new guys :)

pots just kill my money to the point where i can almost never keep more than 100k unless i do some serious stall work. i have now been able to cut down usage with the harmony therapy spell. but i have moved to medium pots which is flippin expensive. i don't even wanna see how much money it takes me to get pots when i get to large. but yeah i say do a harmony ring, try to fight one or two monsters, enough where u still have a decent amount of hp, and then when u done go back to the ring and heal up, go back out. it cuts down ur pot usage insanely.

The healing efficiency of healing spells is extremely high. If you have the healing skills and can use them (out of combat or whatever), you should. You can heal about 5x with a skill and a mana potion. That means your gold > HP efficiency goes up to 10, instead of 2 or less.

Coming from being a healer in WoW where healing efficiency meant the difference between success and failure, SRO's healing system is very forgiving. In SRO you count pots of mana, in WoW you count points of mana. :P Healing in SRO is easy mode; take advantage of it if you can.

Healing is especially beneficial for strength characters. Rather than using 5 HP pots to heal yourself, you can use 1 MP pot. Saves you tons of cash. Force Healing is more or less the equivalent of First Aid from WoW.

I go through tons of pots. I'll have to look into that healing spell for others, not the self heal - that one sucks. I want that harmony therapy spell as well.

I usually just sit if I'm AFK for a minute or when there are no mobs near me to kill.

*waves* add another one here 8) .

But yea I pot. Everything else takes too much time. Skills take too much time in my mind even though its only a second or two. The faster the grind the better. The mp that I could use for healing, I rather put to killing. Plus I find the gold that I get from kills more than make up for buying replacement pots *shrugs*.
