Do you think it was the right thing to say, it seemed to cause mass hate threads after wards. Just check geneal, its a shame. It seemed appropriate, and I agree it was strict, but some moderation is needed, I dont think they were silencing anything:
Welcome to the Silkroad Online discussion forums. This forum is here to provide you with a community where you can discuss all the areas of Silkroad Online with users from all over the world. Forums work best when posters treat their topics and their replies with respect for what is said and who it is said too.
Please keep in mind that this is a temporary forum, so things like the search function and linking posts are disabled. You will have to bear with us for the time being, but a new forum is coming. When it is ready to be released the community will be the first to know officially and this applies for every future update.

-Forum Guidelines-
In addition to the Privacy Policy, User Agreement, and Operation Policy at the bottom of this website here are some good to know guidelines. Keep in mind that this guideline technically falls in line with the Privacy Policy, User Agreement, and Operation Policy and it is here to avoid any mishaps and misconceptions.
1. General Discussion can be very vague, but this section is for threads just about the game. If you wish to discuss other topics whether it’s about something personal to another user or a specific question that does not involve the Silkroad Online community please talk to them privately about this. Make sure to check the proper section before you post a topic to avoid confusion with users. An example would be a question in regards to resetting your password should not go in the Quests section and since this is a sticky in General Discussion you just need to check their first.
2. Avoid posting a topic related to a sticky that has been addressed already. If you have a question that has already been covered by a sticky this just crowds the forums up and gets new threads pushed down. These posts will be redirected and deleted.
3. Please avoid bumping posts. This will be considered spam and contributes nothing to the topic, your thread will be noticed.
4. Petition and Bot posts are not needed. This is a discussion forum. Petition and Bot threads do not gain much discussion. This usually brings up arguments and player attacks within the community, this is not constructive. Any issue with the game can be discussed in a formal manner. There are other places you can go to argue and complain.
5. Do not post about locked, deleted, or edited threads. Posts that are moderated have a reason behind the moderation. We usually lock, delete, and-or edit threads before we post why if at all. If you want a reason behind a post edit, please refer to the sticky and announcements, do not post about it.
6. Please avoid posting topics that you would like a Forum Moderator or GM to take care of. If you have an issue that needs to be looked at personally or want to post something you feel should be an announcement or sticky please contact us privately about this. If you have a technical issue or a suggestion please post this in the proper place. The Forum Moderators check every section and will notice your post.
7. Post in regards to server lag, disconnects, or login difficulties are getting out of hand. The server may disconnect you when attempting to login in if the server is full. You may disconnect when restarting, using a scroll, or respawning from death back to town. If your issue is of greater concern please post in General Technical issues about it, a Forum Moderator will reply.
8. Posts in regards to Bots are not needed. If you have a Bot report then send it to the email at the end of this post. We do not need Bot hate or appreciation threads, if you have a suggestion on Bot prevention post it in the Player suggestion section.
9. Silk Purchase Issues should go in the General Technical Issue section. There are several threads covering this issue and their may be a similar post in this section in regards to your issue. Forum Moderators are aware of users having trouble with purchasing silk, check this section first to avoid confusing and to have any questions answered about it.
10. Do not post in regards to Account Recovery and Scams. We currently do not offer a service to recover account information or in game player attacks such as scamming. If account information is lost by the user there is currently only one method to recover your ID and reset your password. Please check the General Discussion Sticky, How do I change my password?, in regards to this.

There is a cool down time for posting on this forum and this too is temporary. This is to prevent any spam or forum abuse.
