Hi everyone,

I just completed downloading the Korean Silkroad client, cause I want to play in the European part :D
However, just as in ISRO, registration is also in KSRO required, but the problem is I don't know how, does anyone here knows how I should do that? There are a lot op players who've done it before so I know it can be done, I already know I have to go to the official site and click the korean word for register, but then I get a screen where I must enter a korean name and a registration number, but I don't know where I can get those numbers, so if anybody knows where to get them, or any other way to register, plz post it here :D

Thnx, Vegasian.

There's a thread with a tutorial on this boards somewhere. Probably well hidden under tons of posts, try to look for it. It's in this forum section btw.

I found the thread you referred to, but now I try to enter the korean name and SSN from the list, but I only get english names  , I've entered at least a 100 different numbers from the list but it doesn't seems to work :S

Why don't I get the korean name I need, will any of the numbers ever work ?

Well thats not the point actually,

I have a list with korean signs and numbers which I have to enter to register a Korean yahoo account.
I have to copy the korean sign in the first box, and the 2 corresponding numbers in the 2 second boxes, after that I have to click OK and then you see a little dropdown-menu with names, according to the guide I have to choose a KOREAN name out of the list, a korean name you recognise easy cause they use another alphabet than the english ;)
If you see english names then you must try another korean sign and number.

However the problem is no mather how many times I try I only get english names, now you understand my problem? ;)

Read you had to be lvl 60 for the whole Euro thing, I don't know if it's true. I tried registering at KSRO ages ago, but since all those codes were all used I sorta gave up and I can't be assed either.

I'm playing JSRO now, I actually wanted to play the Chinese one since my Chinese is better than Japanese, but they had the same number system.
JSRO works great for me, though, I can finally login without trying 89147139471347 times and then get d/ced within a minute.
There are barely any people in the cities lol.

Thanks for offering, I appreciate it very much, but I'm not sure, if it's as crowded as ISRO, it'd be a waste since I can't play then anyways. :( I'd want to give it a try as long as it's not too crowded. :)

since you are in NL, its peak sleeping time in Korea, so there are less people playing...the problem is to find the server with the most english speaking community

for the korean language you have to install applocal, search on the forum there was a post about that here, or just google it.

as for the quest, there arent any translated ones, AFAIK.
but it's always the same, kill X monsters or drops of monsters...the problem is just to find what monster etc...(for that you can compare the names with the list on kSRO homepage)

GL ^^

For once I agree with Keikoo. I wouldn't want some asshole using my SSN for anything.

How is it that Korean citizens SSN's? are so easily accessible, anyways? I hope ours in America aren't that easy to obtain.

Technically anyone using someone elses SSN is comitting identity theft.

Yeah, not to be a party pooper, I'm surprised that the mods dont lock up threads like these cos they did lock up the gold buying thread. Stealing SSNs is like on par with CFF'ing. I mean it's just as bad as giving information on CFF'ing.

Me too Mushroom. Joymax I think could easily identify and report any users stealing Korean citizens social security #'s. For most nations it is not a light crime, lol. Not a light crime at all. Same with credit card fraud...

they are listed freely to read on korean websites...some were some kind of survey, others were school exams listings...

It doesn't matter that they're available freely. You can find alot of things that you shouldn't find if you search hard enough.

If someone had my SSN, they easily have the potential to gather my credit info, my name, all of that shit. Just with my SSN.

I can access my bank account by use of my SSN and only my SSN. No need for an ID.
