Ok for a long time this has annoyed me and im going to put a stop to it
SoX Drops are TOTALLY random therefore killing Uruechi, Tiger Girl or any Unique for that matter will not give a better chance its random
Who ever said uniques drop sos more is an idiot, iv been playing this game long enough to know
SoX = Random you stand as much chance getting sos off a level 40 red scorpian as you do uruechi
i hope this clears a lot up

The only strategy I can understand for getting better drops is programming. Random isn't always random, so it will be based on time to compensate for that, which means that there may be certain hot spots during the day where a kill could equal a drop. For example, if you got a SoX drop at 8:45:09.2PM one day, the next day your chances would increase if you got a kill at the exact same time, and if you waited exactly seven days from your first kill that would increase your chances even further. Of course, this is just another myth, which is probably the most likely because of some programming limitations, I hope no one tries this and wastes their time.

in programming nothing is totally random but the pattern is so hard to find it appears random to us so lets just keep it at random

well the most boxes you can get from a regular mob is probably one. Uniques your level usually drop up to 4-5 boxes and thats almost guaranteed. So even though the chance of soX is still like .0000001% thats 4-5 times you roll those odds compared to one if that from a regular mob. This doesn't apply if your 20+ lvls higher than the unique either since they wont drop u shit

Never seen a unique drop an SoX item, that's all I'll say. All of my SoX's have been from orange mobs.

Was a screenshot of isy dropping sos 64 garm hands few motnhs back on these forums.
Uniques do have a higher chance of dropping sos. Think of it this way:
You kill 100,000 monsters and get 1 sos, I can assure you uniques have a better sos drop rate than 1 / 100,000. The reason they don't ' drop ' as many is they aren't their for you to attack 24/7 wich in turn lowers the averages.

you are lying, every time i kill TG i get 10 sox items. last time i got a sosun 64 blade and shield dropped at +5. then i +9 them both first try with no astral....
not only do uniques drop only sox items, they drop with 100% chance to go to +9 first try with no astrals! its pretty cool if you ask me.

i have got 5 sos drops so far 2 from green mobs and 3 from white mobs and my friend got a 36 sos tasset or something from black robber archer when he was 6x so i know blues drops sos as well..

You cant really know 100% just from playing a long time >.>, I would think it should be higher, even if its not noticable, but still other then exp whats the point of uniques lol, normal mobs might have like 0.001% chance(for exmalpe >.>) then a unique could have 0.005% its still higher but the chance for seal items is so low to begin with its not much of a diff, also the fact uniques drop like 20 items at a time >.>, each possibly could be an sox, so that makes it higher too ;p.
I bet it seems to everyone like normal mobs drop more since we kill countless of them and get the items, and kill very few uniques and get nothing, but when you barely get the chance to kill uniques and you do actually kill alot(alot as in 20+ or so?) and still get nothing it seems you have been screwed lol. But the fact they only spawn once every few hours kinda makes it alot lower lol.
But I dunno anything 100%, it just seems like it would make alot more sense to make the boss mobs have higher drop rates.
Point is for normal mobs you can kill like 1,000(thats lower then what it would really be too i'm sure  ) and get 1 sos, if that.
So even if the rate was doubled for uniques, you could get 1 sos for 500 uniques, and and like I said, you barely get the chance to kil uniques so you definatly arent gonna kill enough to be able to determine if its higher or not.

From my experince without acctually seeing the coding used any mob can drop SoX items within thier item range. if its coded as i would expect Zombs is pretty close, randomize comands are based upon time i.e say when a monster dies a number is picked at random if that number = 1 then drop sostar, after a certain amount of time the number 1 will turn up as all numbers at sometime will but when it will within the amout of times x monsters are killed. (x being the amout of time to go through all the possible numbers that cant be picked) so the only really way to get sos items is to play alot and hope. if that makes no sense or is completely wrong i aplogise, sleepy tbh
