Was It Worth It?

ok well this i guess is more a personal opinion thing and a price check,but its also a question of when you'd have said enough is enough so i put it here.
(i'll ask you to bear with me on this its kinda long,also click the image thumbs and then click on large image to resize it so its readable)

i purchased this:

for 7.7mil and few event items..i then did this:

(on first try)
then this:

(again on first try :shock:

)

and was happy for awhile..till in a moment of stupidty deicided to try for a double digit critical,failed twice and on the third attempt this:

i lost pretty much all my money trying to fix and saved up awhile, then went all out trying to return it back to its former state and finally got it to this:

it's only level 32 and i must have spent a minimum 3/3.5mil in total now with screwing it up and fixing it.

but was it worth the effort and will it hold its purchase price value?
(i know many of you say don't bother with lower level gear its not worth it)

i went looking around at others after messing it up and som, but none were near the same specs and all were over priced (+2 som was 38mil :shock:

)

Its prolly worth about 15m. And since u gonna use it it was totally worth it.

but seriously when do you guys call it quits with alchemy?

i kinda caught the bug and started doing it more and more, but how do you know when to say enough is enough and call it quits on the item,cut your losses sell it and move on?

Crit 8 was already a good crit.

Take it from me, dont spend any more gold on crit stones. It took me 16 stones to get my Lvl 52 SOS back to crit 8. Maybe you may get lucky, but don't risk trying anymore stones unless you wanna be poor like me.

Eh.. a lv 32+5 sos bow.. when i was your lvl those went for like... 8m tops... hell.. som 32's went for 10m.. crazy inflation and gold buying has led to massive changes in our economy.. and now you could probably get 15m for that, unfortunately.. although i feel its only worth 10m tops.. but ppl are retarded enough to pay that much now

That would for for at least 15 mill on Oasis. I would sell it for 18 mill.

Anyway, the extended Thanksgiving event caused all this inflation. With all those special job suits people were getting from the jewel boxes. If you go two, that was like 980k if you NPC'ed it. And I know many people got dozens of those job suits. Thanks JoyMax!

Yeah, the dragon flags we're being sold at inflated prices, but they really didn't affect the economy. Ok, maybe some noobs may have gotten a few mill for their dragon flags and drove up the SOS prices around their level a bit. But what really affect the prices of all degrees of SOS were the job suits since they introduced more gold into the economy from being sold to the NPCs. The dragon flags didn't add any gold to the economy and not to mention, the NPCs only bought them for 1 gold.

Exactly. If I would have had 500k when I started, people would call me rich. If you started during that event, 500k = nothing special. Everyone could have had that. People who found 10-20 of those suits arent that special. :cry:

I got my gold cos of trading a lot of items/elements/selling stones and they get it for almost free.

Because I got bored of Silkroad around the event and whever i played I never got any jewel boxes i missed out on those 440k suits to npc.

i don't intend risking it with alchemy again (least not with this bow,my armours another story :twisted:

)

i mean i wasted a bit of gold ruining it,more fixing it but eventually got lucky and got what i was after in the first place...only lost 1 attack rating point...i got really lucky :shock:
