Kill champions/giants, grinding non-stop.

the system set-up, on how lucky characters are set.

I have a theory that there is a ratio of sox items to # of players in a server.

Hypothetically, if there's 1000 people players in a server, there will be...let's say 50 sox items; and as # of people increases, the sox # increases as well.

Just a theory

It's just random I think, in my 3 months of farming I killed well over 150,000 penon warriors and got just 2 sos, then someone else I know got 2 8th sos drops within 10 minutes of each other in the cave.

My theory is that the more SoX the is of one type, the less
likely you are to find one.

Example :
There are 3 SoS lvl 64 sword on Tibet
You have 0.005% chance of one dropping when u kill a mob

There are 7 SoS lvl 64 sword on Tibet
You have 0.0000005% chance of one dropping when u kill a mob

there is no theory behind it
the more you play the more chance
the less players the more chance
the longer you kill 1 type mob the more chance
that is why most bots have seal of items (24/7 grinding) and even they can`t get a seal of item guaranteed so just play and stop wasting money on useless sox items (only get it when you need to farm) you can lvl fast enaugh with +3 till +5 weapons

The game is set in a manner that each item has a probability that it will drop. So theres no real best way to obtain it.

For example, you have a 1% chance of getting a normal drop per kill. 0.5% change of getting a blue per kill. Giants has a higher percentage. so on so forth.

Its really allllll luck. No preset luck for characters.

I got 6 Sos drops since i started 2 mths ago. Once i hit lvl 32+ never seen one trace of sos.

Everyone thinks that SoS has a probability to drop from a monster. I think that's true...to a certain extent. In my whole time playing SRO, starting from end of April, I have found 14 SoX items amongst all of my chars. What surprises me the most is that out of the 14 SoX items I have found, I have found 7 or 8 of them with my farming char in the den. Now the question is: Why don't all farmers find 7 or 8 SoX items while they are farming? Who knows, but there are two theories I have in mind.

The first theory is that each character/account has a certain luck probability of finding SoX items. The second theory is more of a secret, but it revolves more around how you get your SoX items. Knowing how 'smart' JM is with their programing, I don't know which theory they are using.

Finding SoX items for me is like a weekly occurence. This week I found 2 SoX items, so you tell me what you think is going on. I just hope my luck keeps on running after I finish farming and go on with the game. Btw, if you want to gauge for how long i've been farming, I'm at 60k SP. Two shotting bandits and GT amounts to alot of SP every hour, too bad I don't have enough time to grind all the time =(

If thats so... then I'm GOD DAMN UNLUCKY :x
1 Year SRO: No SOX Drop what so ever... not even a trace :(
Thats depressing cos all my friends got atleast 15 SOX Drops buy even playing less than me( yes... dropped)
So I stick to the fact that I can only obtain SOX by purchasing.
I leave the rest to all those lucky Jack Asses.

I have explained this before and it turns out in flames. But as long as the op gets his question answered thats all that counts.

Know when an SoX will drop is impossible. To know where it drops is not. You have to find the spot that an item drops that "can" be SoX. For example find out where a lvl 16 bow drops and now you know where the SoX version "can" drop.

By knowing this type of info you can put yourself in the spots where SoX drops increasing your chances. By not knowing this info you could be fighting in a spot where you have zero chance of getting a SoX drop.

Item drops in this game are area specific, not mob specific. I'm not talking about a small area i'm talking about a decent size one. You have probably noticed when fighting in one certain area over time you get the same type of drops over and over. I noticed in some spot 12 different types of items will drop. So now i know where to get that type and level of item. The stats will be different and whether or not it will be SoX is also random. This is excluding the trash loot of course, potions, pills, etc.

Alot of people on this forum have argued this but none up to the challenge to prove it. I use to write the info down on what drops i got in what area but after i hit the 30s i just made sure i put myself in spots where i could get sos and never kept track of where that was.

If your on athens and have a character below 30 i can set you in a spot and tell you what items you will loot. That does not mean you WILL loot them but i can gaurantee you, you will only loot items out of the list i give you for that area.

As far as luck on each character i don't believe that. It would have to be the same on each one. It would be retarded to randomize it. What would be the point.

Now i do believe Joymax tilts the *RNG in the favor of new players for alchemy to let them succeed to get them hooked. This way you have succeeded in +5ing your gear and know it works and think it works alot, so in later levels you dump some cash into the item mall for immortal and astral. This wears off fast. After +5ing some gear i'll delete the character and remake another level to 10 and repeat. After a few succeeds to +5 i think they dump the RNG back to normal.

If you don't believe this theory trying +5ing a weapon in your 60s after failing 8+ times make a new char level it to 10 and give it a try on him. You'll succeed 3 out of 4 times, but like i said only works on a few items before things are back to normal. Incase you never deleted a character it takes a week.

its purely random

the best you can do for yourself is not to expect you'll get it

i have had more than a handful of SoS drops since Lv18 and now im still 51. my bro only had 1 drop and it was not until he got like Lv44. I got my first SoS drops as weapons and it was exactly 24hrs apart, same spot, same time (11pm+ EST) , same game duration from login, SoS bow on a saturday then SoS glaive on the next day, dropped from either a Bandit or Bandit Archer, there were many and i didn't even see who dropped it. I was already Lv18 when i got those 2 Lv16 weapons.

the theory that only mobs with champion/giant version of SoX is a hoax. i got my last SoS drop from a Ujigi, which doesnt have a giant version, when i was Lv46 and it was a SoS 52 glaive at southwest hotan. this was 4~5months ago.

a guildmate of mine got a sos 44 garment shoes from a Blood XXX Flower along the road near Donwhangs lake and he was a Lv34 at that time.

a friend of mine from another game played for 3 days, before reaching Lv10 in that time frame, he never got SoS drops but got 3 SoM drops instead. Lv1 sword, Lv1 ring and Lv8 glaive.

so you see it's very much random
you'll enjoy this game a lot more if you don't expect random stuff to happen to you
