These topic is for all those people who think they leet and cool. What would you do for a stranger in this game and any other game? The other day i gave 75k to some guy i dont know, never got the money back, not because the person didnt want to pay me back but cuz we never got in touch so far, im sure if he seems me he will give it.

Anyway, here is the main story. Today i was farming and i had reached to the point where my ticket had run out and i went to Dw to de-lvl. i was going back and forth and this guy sees me and follows me.

He asks. "do you want me to rez you?" i reply to him, "sure, thanks" after rezzing me about 5-7 times. he made a joke about my regular lvl 16 glavie lol. and then he goes to town and says, "wait i will buy you a sos" i follow him in town and 2min later he hands me a lvl 16+2 sos glavie for 0 gold. Keep in mind i didnt even know this guy, yet he was kind enough to help me when he had no obligation too.

When i asked, why he was doing that, he replied to me " its just a game"
Now that is a true elite person. the rest of you who think "its just a game" you quickly go and mute or disregard any comments twoards your char or your weapons or your build, cuz to many people, this is not "just a game"

I will not say his name as he might and probably will get spammed with requests for sos'es.

thanks dude, you know who you are, i will give the glavie back to you when im done.

Well lets see, Bosco once GCEd that i was giving gold way. So after a while i went to north hotan and gced i was dropping gold, ended up droping around 4 mil of gold spread out over like 50k each drop or so, some weapons that i was going to npc and some pots. Then the other day while pvping i had 2 sos lvl 16 rings that i did not care for and droped them while pvping for people to have.

Oh and i one star popped a kid that was like 30 lvls lower then me. He said he was saving for a wolf so i gave him 500k. Nice arnt I. =)

Incredibly nice person. I definitely wouldn't do that to someone I had just met. Sure, I res people and heal them all the time, make harmony therapies for people, etc. but just about all my money to spare goes to the guild. (you know who you are, drainer of my acc elixirs! GRRR... *shakes fist* :p)
I can't depend on some random person who just comes up to me and asks for 300k to return it, though they say they will, and anyway I'd rather give the money to someone I know. What I'm trying to get at here is that that was an incredibly nice person, just try not to take too much advantage of him :P

he had lost 3mill+all items and had to ask for help from his guild and the hacker was logged in and i chatted with him, he said "im trading all my stuff to my main account, pm me on BlackJesus98.." = (when i asked if i could buy some stuff off him) :(

edit: and i logged on to his account and saw it was empty.. (except stuff from guild)

i really wanted a wolf but could only just afford to buy pots...was like lvl18 or something..anyways a guy i had known for about a week says "i'll give you the money, just pay me back when you can"... i saved furiously even going out without pots and looking like a bot self-healing just to save.... finally got the money together awhile later.... he hasnt been on since i got the money together. So i basically got a free wolf... BUT... i still have his 1mil in storage

the weird part is that these kind of people are rare in this game
instead of trying to help most try to even scam the poor new guys for 100k (1 grind session of 30min)
just sad how people react in a game and feel somehow more than how they really are

giving 10k to a random is something i hate to do because you simply get spammed 1000times when you go to jangan.
but when doing a trade and you see someone wolf is being owned by your npc thief be kind and at least have a good laught then pay the poor guy 50k

i even considered getting force skill just to res all those level 20- who are happy to see an ox and get too close :( but my build does not allow me to (mastery cap)

WoW, what have i done for strangers in SRO?

Apart from the countless times ive helped with trades, the hundreds of people ressed..

I guess one of the biggest things i did for a complete stranger was. Give him a wolf, I cant remember why, just i did He pmed me that day, asking for clarification on some things... and then i just gave him a wolf. It seemed right.. and he was really happy with it.

First online game I ever played was Runescape. In my first hour, a player found me wandering around, no clue what to do or how to do it. Basically I joined to see what a friend was doing playing it. The player taught me the basics, showed me where to go etc. After I thanked him for his help he gave me 600 gold. For no reason. I had no idea of the value of it (basically not much) but for a lowbie it was a lot! It impressed me so much that I try to do the same in Silkroad.

I don't give 10k to beggars but will happily protect trades for free and res anyone that asks nicely. I detest peopel that yell RESSSSSSSSSS at me and then run with no thanks after I take time to stop, dismount and res them. That really drives me nuts. :banghead:

I was hanging out in jangan near the crossroads at Tiger Mountain a few weeks back while dressed in low 20's gear (I'm lv57). This player came along and offered me armor. I said no thanks and she tells me she isn't asking for money, just she has unwanted drops and likes to help new people like herself. We talked back and forth for a few minutes. I didn't tell her at any stage I wasn't a lowbie but played along and told her I only needed one piece and thanked her. When she exchanged me I paid her 400k for it.

I explained to her that you so rarely see a player willing to help out others without asking anything in return I was very impressed. She didn't have loads of gold, was just happy with her average gear and the opportunity to play a free game. It only cost me a couple of hours grinding gold drops and hopefully passed on the will to keep helping others.

Not being financially able to be so generous in real life, I got a buzz out of it!

I give away whenever I can/don't need the money.. Some guy got scammed by a wellknown scammer on alps, and I gave him some cash (200k) and a lv32+3 weapon so that he could get back on his feet..

But yeah, this was a real noble gesture, make sure to thank him l8r :)

I have to admit I almost never give gold to the begger! I fingd them really irratating.

I never expect or ask for gold to res - but when someone offers and u spend the time to find em and res em, still not after the gold, and they get up and wonder off without even a word of thanks just... maddening >_<

had a go at one of em for not even saying tnx and he came to find me and give me the promised gold - I turned it down and just told him to stick by his word in the future

enough rant

I came across a random trader to from Jangan to DW near the Devil bugs and his wolf got slaughtered by another traders thieves... he was a bit upset as he couldn't afford to res him - so I gave him a spare Grass of Life I happened to have on me - he was soo happy ^__^

or sometimes I give random noobs spare drop item as they are worth so much more to them =)
