Ok people so i left for a year and i didnt really think of coming back to this game but i may if i dont buy WoW Cataclysm so i want to know has anything changed in SRO. Are the servers still crowded, game still glitchy, and any problems from a year ago
Servers are not completely as crowded as they were when gold bot companies ran the game. You can get in 1 try on most servers, however, sometimes there is a 1-5 minute queue time depending on the server. Joymax also implemented a bot killing device called "statues of justice" if you step in the area u die and get disconnected. The statues move every patch and can be found outside towns and near pre-infested bot areas. For the most part glitches found a year ago can still be found today, although, the newer management at Joymax now actually responds to bug reports and occasionally bugs are fixed (invisible/stealthed camels/horses).
Game is far off better than it was a year ago. A new legend is about to be shown sometime soon(within this month.) WeGame is now managing silkroad, and have also opened up the first U.S. server hosted game servers (Maya and Azteca) which, to me, run smoother than the other servers. Overall game is progressively improving under new management. I myself came back from a year or so break from SRO and came back rather impressed, compared to the piece of shit it was a mere year ago.
The lot of you are nancies. Really. I left Alexander, which has my witch outfit and I love that witch outfit ( ), for Iris. What's the point in playing a game where you get to play with, at the maximum, 0 people? Besides, see it as two home servers, you can play both and see which you like better.
If people just join up in one server and do party play, I guarantee you'll be at least 50-60 in a month time. And it'll be the most fun you'll ever have, more than whatever you guys have now in your bot infested server. And, Oh man.. Next legend = more low level content. It'd be the best time to do it.
I had a dream where all the active players on this forum (at least in GD, you Off-topic-lounge-only-people get no love) goes onto one server. And we all played.

It's a metaphor, not always something to be taken literal. Here, let me help you understand the metaphor. If people chip in, individually they are weak, although as a team they are strong.
yea, well i dont know about anyone else but im not gonna leave my server cause i have rl friends that i play with, and im not gonna blow them off to go hang with people i dont even know the first names of and who i met on the internet. good luck creting that avalanche though
There isn't much to say than what I had already said in my bigger post. Sir_Edward, I've already responded to your statement in my before post. Make it two servers, try it out. Invite your buddies. Otherwise those reasons are easily worked around.
Not interested? Okay.
There is no wagon to get on, and that's the point. We need to take planks, nails, and hammers to make anew. And I put emphasis on the word, we. Otherwise, no group effort, no one joining one server, no party play. Do we need a black man to run for president for this Silkroad Online idea? The "Yes We Can" campaign?
I apologize for the hostility, but you two were just asking for it. Since joining Iris we've been having parties everyday. Low level play was the best, usually whenever you get on it was party time. As we got higher, people started to disappear for whatever reason. But we still party everyday. Sometimes there's no parties, like recently 2 days ago or so. Really depends on the tank.
Yesterday I decided to fraps cave party. Although I regret not recording the CTF following, which was the best CTF ever.

I was shoveling snow and missed that good CTF on Sat - then I got on my wiz/bard for 2 am BA and somehow we didn't go - I blame VG In between I managed to grind on both my main and my rogue alt.
But +999999 to this. There are still legits on Iris playing consistently, I'm having fun killing the occasional B3 uniques with a couple of higher-level friends, and Vent is insane with the TTS rap, although there are only a few people on.
There are people who live to PvP, I'm not one of them, so I have fun on the way to cap. Hell, I probably won't even cap if 120 is coming soon.
