Do you think it's ok to run/dash in a 1v1 pvp?

What's everyone's Opinion on it?

Is it ok to dash and run around in a pvp, or is it more accepted that you stand rooted to a spot?
For ranged chars, I feel like it's dumb to stand still. You lose the advantage of being ranged.

I had a recent pvp, guy kept running away whenever he had fear on him to save on pills or something. As a result, I decided to dash and run around whenever snow ran out. As a result, the pvp lasted almost 10 mins. Guy complains that I ran around too much. Don't see how it's unfair considering he ran off when fear was on.

Does dashing = running to the safe zone 24/7? Or is that running? Or what?

As Bas Rutten says, make some distance and grab a chair.

I'm pretty sure the only thing to do when in fear is to run around. What's the point to tank it out? And dashing isn't bad, it is smart to use. Any person with range should use it to their advantage. The same reason people who are str use tanking to their advantage

I used both, as long as you don't keep on running/dashing to piss someone off. Using it to get a bit of distance is perfectly fine with me.

Its part of the build get over it.

I don't think running or dashing is unfair or stupid. When i used to play my archer i used to Dash all around its a perfect tactic for a archer

why shouldn't you use a skill you saved sp for?

1vs1 is supposed to be a challenge, not a buff stacking contest

buffs are the only thing that make it challenging.

anyway i chose dashing is ok but running is not. running isnt a skill but at the same time ive never actually seen running in pvp EVER. unless ur talking about running to safe zone. thats basically forfeiting. i mean mid battle both buffed up, ur gonna die, u run to safe, or run to safe to wait for a buff thats sad. BUT if u run to safe to buff cuz somebody is spawn killing you i think we can all agree thats perfectly fine.

I believe it's alright to use all your skills to win a battle, no matter what. I agree that using bless for example is kinda nabish BUT it still is a skill that Joymax added, and it's part of the person build so just learn to deal with it. Besides, it feels so much better killing a guy that used bless than beating one that did not :sohappy:

Dashing is more beneficial for pure int and hybrid archers

Both are fair. Nothing more fun in the low lvls than being a warlock, putting 2 dot's on a warrior(in HA) and running around. He's slow and can't catch up and eventually dies. Ofc I don't mean running/dashing into safe zone. I did that to a buddy of mine a few times, was fun :D

In serious pvp and 1v1 cape fight not group, I have never really seen people run, but if they did i wouldn't consider it cheating, if anything i would be amazed; have you people ever tried running around while casting only one or two skills on a blader/rogue? Its not easy...
