For a long time, there has been a stalemate between Merchants, Hunters and Thieves in Silkroad.

However, the delicate balance has been broken. The Game Masters have finally decided to be the Standard bearers of each opposing faction.

To whom shall the Balance of Power tip? It's up for you to decide.

[Event Period]
October 12 ~ 26, 2010 Silkroad Standard Time (2 weeks)

[Event Schedule]


- This event will be launched in the first day of the event after server inspection on Oct 12, 2010.
- This event will be finished in the last day of the event before server inspection on Oct 26, 2010.
- Event will be held two times on all servers during the whole event period.

[Event Procedure]
1. GM will announce the start of event in-game.
2. Players who want to participate should wear job suit cape and should proceed to the Thief regroup point or Hunter/Merchant Regroup points to be specified by the GM Hunter-Merchant/Thief Leader.
3. Groups of Hunters/Merchants and Thieves and will fight each other in the battle area.
4. Players must protect their GM Leader and kill the GM Leader of the opposing team in order to win.
5. Winning GM Leader will reward his protectors.

Rally with the GMs and be part of the epic battle between the hunters, merchants and thieves in your server!

**Notice**
* Players will lose experience points when killed by opposing team.
* If the battle has not ended within an hour, battle will be considered as draw
* GM’s decision is final.

YOu can say whatever you want, but Joymax is really trying to improve the game.

This is going to be considered the first decent event since they had Pandora scrolls.


Edit: Up until players can't kill the GM or some bug happens to ruin it anyways.

Not necessarily, Avalon proved that with good teamwork, a few can hold out against many. Of course, I doubt there's still anyone that could put together such teamwork of those still playing.

This is the same as the Unique event... only high levels can participate and hope to win.

I was going to say the same thing. Although, they could put level restrictions on the groups so maybe a group of 25-30 lvl thieves/hunters can battle. Good luck to those levels killing a GM though, unless the GM lowers his HP/MP and other stats to match.

lol i would say that 80lvl is low lvl these days 100lvl and below ppl getting pwned by 101 easily

high lvl is 101+. rest is low lvl anyway and most ppl who buy Silk, and alot of Silk are 101+ so why should Joymax make an event for ppl in low levels? They want ppl stay at this game and pay for it and because of that high level content gets added. Thats how it works.
if its good or not for most ppl is another thing... but best way for joymax.

I don't see the point of level restriction either when 80% of the non-goldbot population is above lvl90.

The 80% you are talking about is close to cap, so once they get there, they will have 'nothing to do' and quit. It's the 20% that you (Joymax) should keep interested in the game. It's the 20% who need interesting things to do to keep them active in the game. Joymax should pay more attention to the lowly 20% so they don't get bored, jealous of the high levels with 'great' new content, and bot (or power level) their way to the top.

If there were more interesting things to do below lvl 80 (or pick your level) people wouldn't be as concerned with racing to the cap where all the 'action' is. Despite the fact that I hear so many people complain about the cap being boring... go figure.

does this mean, xian/aege event will be on 10/12 and troy/babel on 10/19 OR does it mean xian/aege and troy/babel will have event on 10/12 and 10/19 (meaning 2x).

yes and the best way to do that is to make an event for ppl, the majority of whom botted to cap, and completely ignore the "low" level ppl who obviously never buy silk coz they don't even think about buying silk before level 100, and just want to grind for months, get to cap and then be able to take part in job wars,guild wars, fort wars or whatever else is there....

We just had the event on aege, pretty sad event... there were like 200 hunters and only 20 thiefes. so the hunter won, and the gm spawned some uniques for them.
