Let's discuss a channel system and the pros/cons of a server system
Add any pros/cons if you can think of one
Pros
More people to interact with
More guilds
Possibl increase of jobbing
Less logging waiting time

Cons
Inflation
Capped players after new servers are released
Sosun/ nova weapon in the masses
Gold bot companies will have an easier time farming

I think its better the way it is.

its not good idea for me cuz u cannot meet with ur friend or guildmates if you are in different channels.

I hope they add A server or channel Only for pvp so that pvp kings meet there. It means more Job War and More PvP.

I would like the idea of the Channel system, but the Cons:

Squirt proves a good point, but Squirt's Pros make a good point also.

Due to the large gold companies bots, the only thing I see around Neptune is gold bots. Annoys me and I would like the interact with players with fingers on their keyboard and not programmed players.

I like servers as you know who your playing against. You know all the shit that goes on and aren't just randomly running around alone by yourself without knowing anyone.

Granted, odds are most people will decide on like 1 server and stay there. But still.

a pvp channel sounds good...
all the afk guys at sama south taking up space would be gone
but all the rant globals would fall away too :(

What do you mean by Wrong Move?

@Pan_Raider: That's true, JM wouldn't do something that would take away Globals, unless they made the globals speak to all of the server. Which would just become spam.

or it could be done like cabal online.

Each server holds around 6-7 channels. It would still work like it is now though. Your characters will be on the specific server you chose to be on. Thus your able to use your character to transfer between channels in the server you chose to play on.

One other good feature is that lets say a guild member is on channel 7 but your on 5. You want to play with him, next to his name in the guild or friend list it would show the channel number his on , and you just simply login to that channel.

nah, I still like the way sro has its server. having channels is like having more server, you doing is like server hopping not really good for sro type of gameplay. Its way better Sword of Justice than Channel system.

@babbe1 u play a lot of versions, how's cSRO OceanVIP btw? and how's TheRedSun and Chevalier?

The channel system would require a lot of changes, cos all we have now was meant to be for the server system only.

it wont ever happen, maybe joymax will make a new SRO after 3-4 years. Until then keep dreaming XD

I waited 12 years for SC2 :P and it was worth the wait
