I've mention this in the past b4 but this is for those new players whom might be wondering of ways on how they'd deal with the problem of a overcrowded server and poor game management...These are my 6 steps that I feel would fix SRO

1 - remove gold drops from the game completely. No gold drops no gold bots

2 - Make it so that the only way to earn gold is through the triangular conflict system

3 - Increase the earning potential for all 3 jobs. (Hunter/Trader/Thief)

4 - level 1-20 get free basic gear and weapons from NPCs for doing quest.

5 - Traders, within a certain lvl range cannot be attacked by thieves or be defended by hunters in a higher level range. (Eg: A novice trader only gets attacked by novice thieves and so on)

6 - Selling any item to an NPC is almost not worth it..very little gold.

Benefits will be:

1 - An enriched community of real life players playing the game how it was intended..Tri-conflict

2 - Free up server space and allow lots of new players to truly experience what SRO is like

3 - It would stop gold selling companies from making tons of money for free off of Joymax's game.

Even if gold bot owners decided to farm for items instead they would be competing with the entire server who are also trying to sell whatever items they themselves have found.

When I look at those 3 benefits it makes me wonder why Joymax doesn't do anything. Especially the 3rd benefit on the list. I can only assume (which we all do) That Joymax is benefiting financially from having gold bots in the game.

Yes, better exp and sp rates. and also, they need to change the quest's A LOT to suffice what the usual player wants, i'm sorry Joymax, but 1000gold and 3000exp doesn't cut it when i have to kill 3k+ Niya Guards to get some shitty quest item.

If they can implement updates every 4-5 months, they can do this.

Allow people to sell silk items, no need to reduce gold drops or anyhting like it, people could buy silk and sell silk item, no gold buying would be needed.

Where would Joymax be making their profits from?

The whole reason we have crowded servers is to force you to buy a premium, thus giving Joymax a huge profit.

If selling silk items is available, JM will still get their money.
Because silk items don't just appear, they are bought by players and then sold to other players who need them too, but can't/don't want to buy silk.
That doesn't affect the amount of silk items bought by buying silk.
When i would want a silk item, i would just search stall network or let someone buy it from item mall and sell it to me in gold.
That way the other player won't buy gold and players will still get their gold for real money.
That would be the best change.
And ofcourse they should ban bots until they quit because nobody is buying their gold due to that change.

There are a faster and easiest steps:
1. Put a bomb on Joymax building.
2. Press the red button.

means if you get 1 hunter lv 100 with you, and a thief lower lv attack the trade, you cant touch the thief ^_^

so you simply got owned by a noob thief

Yeah..this need some work...but i suggest that you make an official thread and get 1000's of signatures of people agreeing. Then they might work something out. There is some improvement needed though. But good thoughts. :)

1 step to fix SRO (until next gen bots)

1. Make it mandatory to complete all quests your level to be able to levelup.
1.1 if a player stays at 99.99% for X days, all drops and experience stops until levelup, unless said player is capped.

:P

These idea's are great, but I doubt joymax would implement it. You remember the bot campaign? started in August? look at it now.. there are now gold bots in samarkand as well as hotan, donwhang, jangan.. The problem is they set out to do something, but they quickly give in because its too hard for them. The only way that Silkroad can be fixed now is if we start a massive strike, all of us stop playing only leaving gold bots in the servers.. This would allow joymax to see how many gold bots there truly are, and give them a chance to ban them. But this plan is nearly impossible because people won't co-operate with it, and getting the word out on the idea is nearly impossible in itself.

Just my thoughts.

The very least thing JM can do is to make offline stall system... It MIGHT decrease the traffic..

well them they should make a logging prem just to log in (not 2 cheap but not 2 expensive) like 30-50 silk for a month.
and beiing able to sell silk items would be awsome =] totaly agree

You can make gold from other ways. One way is to sell what you found from drops to other players. Also you can buy and sell in the network stall system. Just the same way some players currently earn their billions of gold..buying and selling.

If the thief that attacked you is a novice/noob then it means you yourself is a novice/noob. That's how the systems works. Nubs interact with nubs...intermediate with intermediates and expert with experts

I will admit that there is a problem with this item on the list and that is it reduces the amount of people you can rob/hunt. This would have to be revised since most of us love being able to attack any lvl theif/hunter

There is a possibility that this might happen but at least the goldbots will have huge competition with everyone else stalling similar items...A highly saturated market doesn't benefits just one person. Before this,.. goldbots had the gold market to themselves..now they don't..no one does.

lest say this plan works perfectly and all the bots are gone and the economy is decent again. i fear that there are too few legit players to make the game work anymore.
