Hey guys, It occurred to me today: "how many people of SRF are actually lvl 100 FF and have experienced Silkroad PROPERLY and have reached the *end game*, as it were"... A lot of people seem to talk negatively about Silkroad and moan and groan about bots and bla bla bla bla blaaaa... but I was thinking, instead of spending all your time "complaining" about the game why don't you use your time and level up instead?!! WOW.. what a crazy idea?! then maybe when you ARE a high level you will see that the game isn't actually that bad! and is in fact a very enjoyable and fun game! Joymax... So what if they advertise it as a F2P (free to play) game... EVERYTHING in the world is "advertised" as FREE as it's the only way to get ignorant people’s attention. Paying $15 a month for silver premium (to gain access to servers) is nothing really. "Joymax are greedy, money grabbing f******?" Isn’t EVERY other business out there? The whole point of having a business is to make money right? You saying if you had your own business you wouldn’t care if you didn't make profit? *laughs* Bots.... yeah okay there s a lot of them but they all seem to grind in the same spots leaving you LOADS of other spaces to level yourself up with plenty of mobs to kill... so that sorts that out? PVP... Silkroad... without a doubt has the best PVP system out of any other game ever invented!? First of it has at least 5 different scenarios in which you can battle your foes: 1. Cape pvp, 2. Fortress wars, 3. Capture Flag, 4. Guild wars. and finally the 5th and most unique way, that NO other game has even attempted to copy: Triangular Conflict (thiefing, trading, hunting)! OK... so now I've had MY say, let me just tell you a few things about me before you start replying with things like: "omg, u must use bot" "omg u have no life" "omg ur a loser" "Bla bla bla" "BLAAAA BLAAAA BLAAA".... I have a lvl 99 character, ff to 98. I have NEVER used a bot, and have hand grinded from level 1. The reason I have so much spare time to "waste" is because my wife sadly past away 3 years ago, I am now 42 years old and don't believe that there is anyone else out there I could love as much as I did (still do) love her. ANYWAYS, I also work for a small Computer Games Developing company and only spend about £30 ($60) on Silkroad a month. Which, if u think about it is about the same as buying an new game for your PS3 each month?... Back to the point. Silkroad IS a good game and is definitely worth playing, even if you don't have much time, 1-2 hours a day hardcore grinding will see you to at least level 94 (from level 1) in around 6-8 months. Which is a good enough level to have a good time with. Right guys... Can't really think of what else to say now... Will enjoy reading replies... Peace

That was interesting, people do complain and trying do something about bots in this forums which will not do anything good to the game, just more pots and more complain and more crying people which is pretty sad, and i'm going to agree with you, the game has more then bots and turks not how speak english, am not ff 100 just ff to 65 lol but after 4 years of playing and am more active now then before the game got more interesting and hey its alot of fun killing bots mostly when you get to watch a guildmate get murder states cuz by "exident" nuked the poor basterd xD yeah it has it issues which game dosen't?

I dont really moan and groan with this game. I love it just as much as you clearly do.
But, if there was 1 thing i could change, it would'nt be goldbots, playerbots, gold companys, it would be turks. They ruin this game, i couldnt care if your turkish here and your offended. I hate them, i dispise them. If they were to be IP Banned, which would never happen, thats the day Joymax cared about the game, not all this botting bullshit. Buy a premium or dont play simple. If i was turkish, i would of Farking gone franchise with Turkmax atleast 2 years ago. If someone with some business inititive was to come from Turkey, and say hey, this is a sure fast way of making a **** load of TL.. They'd be laughing now.
Well, if theres a turkish server out, then mybad, im not talking Private server either.
But i guess turkish people who play games are just ignorant a-holes.
(If i offended anyone, i dont care. Lifes a bitch, live with it).
/Rant..
I'm guessing you got my point as too why i dislike them. Try Hera your see why.

Agreed to the max!
I hate em' too, can't stand them...
Ruin everythin, always same excuse and same swear words, bad english, global spam, beg, and what not!
It's incredible how it reflects to them in real life... Seen them and they are almost the same
Well said. It just got too annoying to grind for me. Shakrams had too many bots, I would always use pill and hp pots fast on karras and all the cave spots are being used for fcking plvls. If I could find a good spot to grind there, I would probably be in the 80s or 90s right now. I'm thinking of going back until the esro private server comes out.
Man your absolutely right. We have to more optimistic when it comes to this F2P(free, free is good people) game. I really admire you after reading your post. If Silkroad is what you like, what you think is fun, then its really worth spending 60 bux month if your a working man. Life is fcking great, we should stop complain and live up the bright sides instead. I've my best sro moments in pre-euro.. When I were hanging in DW all days, looting my first SoS(5D male garment) for 300k.. great times. Final words, if you dont like the free experience of this game, you either quit or p2p.
Sorry to be a little off-topic but buying Premium does NOT make everything ok. Server traffic is not the only problem caused by botting. I don't know how a simple F2P game has managed to corrupt your minds to the point where cheating is perfectly acceptable. Maybe you're not any better than the Turks you hate? No, "it's just a game" is not an excuse. That's actually what makes botting even more annoying to people with a healthy perspective on things. Cheating takes away the fun of competition, as evidenced by the large population of this game being snarling retards.

Lol, it seems they really do destroy everything in the worst way possible. Not to mention they dont use T.P., instead their left hand acts as a wipe. Filthy sickening people xD. (oh, and bad demomen).
Hey guys, It occurred to me today: "how many people of SRF are actually lvl 100 FF and have experienced Silkroad PROPERLY and have reached the *end game*, as it were"...
Having reached the end game myself.(was end game when I played and has not changed much) I have to ask you what end game are you talking about. I have played plenty of MMO with nice end game stuff. SRO does not have anything that could be considered "end game". That is where most of you fail as you somehow think there is an "end game" point of SRO. SRO is meant to be played as you go and whatever level you are at. The only thing that is restricted to higher levels are some of the cave areas used for training etc. Apart from that you can do everything the game has to offer from lvl 20 on. What has training to the cap to do with anything really?

Because lets be honest here. It is not worth it. There is no real end game to look at. No one participates in triangular conflict most times. The bot situation is absolutely horrific. I have played actual F2P games. SRO is not one. I remember wave after wave of farming bots being started in Perfect World. Only having my SRO experience to go by at the time I was like "well there goes this game. Was fun while it lasted." Within a week they had hired more GMs and had a near 24/7 presence and utterly squashed the afk army. This was a F2P game mind you. I was honestly dumbfounded and floored with this response. But I stepped back and took a wider look around. Really SRO is about the only such game that does not have matinance teams. Joymax would not even have to have 24/7 teams to make massive improvements. Any of us can log in and stand at a towns gate and pick out 20-30 bots in 10 min. Have them spend an hour a day per server is not to much to ask. Yet Joymax can not do it. Or rather will not. So why should I have any more interest in it that JM does?

Enjoyable in what way? You mean the standing around at the gates PVPing the sun bots? Putting on a job suit and not jobbing as no one is jobbing but instead PVPing the sun bots in job suits? What else is there to do on an average day. Besides stand out in the fields and get KSed by the afk sun bots? enlighten us with this glorious end game you think you see.

Nah some really are free. I have played many and can vouch for them. SRO is the only F2P you have to P2P.

Yes but some are less so. For instance 15 bucks a month will get you access to the WoW servers. Monthly events. Daily raids. Actual communities. Basically little to no bots. Much more balanced game play. More interesting skills and game play. Much larger and varied environment. Instanced dungeons. Much more sane item enhancement system. Much more realistic EXP rates an no use for SP. 15 a month on sro allows you to log in to a free game brimming to over flowing with bots and no way to really escape them. 1 monthly event that happens on just one day for a short time and not everyone can participate. No raids. No instanced dungeons. Un balanced game play. Totally mental item enhancement system. Exp requirements so high that in order to achieve the upper levels you have to devote a large chunk of your life which so many are determined to get the former without the latter that botting is rampant. I can go on. Anyhow it is your 15 bux and you can spend it how you want. But people would not be off base calling you foolish for spending it on SRO.

In any other area if you ran your busines like joymax and were not the mob or the govt you would be out of business. Joymax has very poor business practices and non existant customer service. Only those like yourself whom are addicted can't step back to see that.

Wait wait wait. what game are you talking about. You talk about people getting to cap. Have you ever trained at cap. Do you know what areas you can train in without major disturbance? The crappiest spawn areas of the entire game way out in BFE. And even those you have to fight for.

ROTFLMAO spoken like a true addict. Actually the PVP system is nothing special and even a bit basic. Gear makes to much impact throwing actual skill out the window in many cases. Lets just put it this way. You go from SRO to Perfect World or WoW and try to PVP you will get your ass handed to you over and over and over and over and over and over and over. Moving in SRO PVP is either retreating or chasing. No matter where your enemy is as long as you have them selected your char will turn to face and go to attack them so it is a simple button pressing match at most times. PW or WoW you need to keep your enemy in front of you. If they get behind you you will die fast unless you face them. Dodging and moving is a major tactic. Not just standing there and pushing keys.

1. Mostly botters so no fun. 2. Usually held by botters so not really much fun plus it only comes what once a month and at some late hour of the night? 3. Honestly have no exp with it. Funny thing is that even though it is unique to the game it is even unique in the game as almost no one does it lol.
LOL you should come raid in WoW if you want real PVP. You and your team against a whole city. Would be like FW all day every day.

I Just Have Level 47 and Level 39 Chars but Still I like to play with them, even that another should farm a lot SP soon. Im in Nice guild and most of they are legit, im little bit lower level than they are, but still I enjoy talking with them, and enjoy CTF, even Grinding, If I would have credit card I probably had bought premium ages ago, but since I don't have I accept that I have to log in 10 min - 3 hours.
But it feels bit anoying sometimes when all these updates are for higer levels (Like Roc dungeon or Qin-Shi Tomb are for +80 Level people only), but Someday I will be higher Level, and Im going to enjoy the game all along to that level.
Edit: Oh and About turks, they aren't all that bad, ofc most turks is see are just 5k plys guys, but I have turkish friends in SRO, They are nice to play with, even if they are little noobs but if you can talk with them and understand them and if they don't spam you every morning "Fu*k YoU!" or something like that.
Well then, since we have come to the conclusion that Silkroad is a shitty game not to be wasting money on, what other games are out there besides WoW (I absolutely refuse to go to that game) that are good?

Enjoyable in what way? You mean the standing around at the gates PVPing the sun bots? Putting on a job suit and not jobbing as no one is jobbing but instead PVPing the sun bots in job suits? What else is there to do on an average day. Besides stand out in the fields and get KSed by the afk sun bots? enlighten us with this glorious end game you think you see.

Joymax... So what if they advertise it as a F2P (free to play) game... EVERYTHING in the world is "advertised" as FREE as it's the only way to get ignorant people’s attention.
Nah some really are free. I have played many and can vouch for them. SRO is the only F2P you have to P2P.

Paying $15 a month for silver premium (to gain access to servers) is nothing really. "Joymax are greedy, money grabbing f******?" Isn’t EVERY other business out there?

The whole point of having a business is to make money right? You saying if you had your own business you wouldn’t care if you didn't make profit?
In any other area if you ran your busines like joymax and were not the mob or the govt you would be out of business. Joymax has very poor business practices and non existant customer service. Only those like yourself whom are addicted can't step back to see that.

Bots.... yeah okay there s a lot of them but they all seem to grind in the same spots leaving you LOADS of other spaces to level yourself up with plenty of mobs to kill... so that sorts that out?
Wait wait wait. what game are you talking about. You talk about people getting to cap. Have you ever trained at cap. Do you know what areas you can train in without major disturbance? The crappiest spawn areas of the entire game way out in BFE. And even those you have to fight for.

PVP... Silkroad... without a doubt has the best PVP system out of any other game ever invented!?

1. Mostly botters so no fun. 2. Usually held by botters so not really much fun plus it only comes what once a month and at some late hour of the night? 3. Honestly have no exp with it. Are there any bots involved with it? 4. As a legit in a guild of legits finding a worthy guild to war is almost impossible. 5. Funny thing is that even though it is unique to the game it is even unique in the game as almost no one does it lol.
LOL you should come raid in WoW if you want real PVP. You and your team against a whole city. Would be like FW all day every day.

OK... so now I've had MY say, let me just tell you a few things about me before you start replying with things like: "omg, u must use bot" "omg u have no life" "omg ur a loser" "Bla bla bla" "BLAAAA BLAAAA BLAAA"....
Nah not gonna say any of that. More that I pitty you. Whatever is going on IRL for you you don't have to punnish yourself with this game. There ARE better games out there ans perhaps other women out there. But you will never know if you never look

Back to the point. Silkroad IS a good game and is definitely worth playing, even if you don't have much time, 1-2 hours a day hardcore grinding will see you to at least level 94 (from level 1) in around 6-8 months. Which is a good enough level to have a good time with.
I would agree with you that SRO has a fantastic concept. It is truly unfortunate that they have the worst execution known to man. If you said some other version of SRO other than iSRO I could have perhaps agreed. However if you are saying this about iSRO you are likely delusional.
I still miss SRO but even if I came back it would not be what I remember but something worse. SRO was my first MMO and will always fondly remember it for that. But as an MMO player I have grown and grown beyond SRO.
+10,000 to ping_lo.
I must say that you are truly my hero after your post .
I agree with virtually everything you said in your replies. SRO has a very long way to go before it can be considered a worldclass mmorpg. Their biggest problems lie in their utter lack of customer support. The "Official forum" is a joke, it's so full of bugs and is lacking in usability to the point of looking like some 3rd grade children made it. Not to mention the lack of moderator interaction. IDK why they even have a player suggestion section, they never reply to any of them. Basically, their forum amounts to nothing more than a slow chatbox, full of complainants and pseudo moderators.
What I'm getting to is this, if you don't have any kind of customer support, you have nothing. JM needs to step up to the plate and listen to their player base, and implement some of the suggestions that are posted. After all, aren't we the ones that JM needs to be pleasing?
