Hey guys, I'm not sure if this was thought up, but I think we should start a campaign to bring back jobbing like it was back in the 60 and 70 cap. The reason I want to do this is because jobbing was the main motive factor that kept me playing back in the old days, when I was actually addicted, lol.
Here's my idea:
We should spread the word around on other Silkroad forums (including the main one) and ask if people are willing to go jobbing more, even if there are no trades.
The more people we get in job suits running around the world map, the more likelihood even more people will start to job again.
Another thing is, jobbing seems to be less active than before the Euro update because the world map is now much larger than when it was 2 years ago.
My idea is that we should all start jobbing where it use to take place; crossroads (Tiger Mountain), DW area, and Dead Ravine.
Who would be willing to sacrifice their time to help bring jobbing as we knew it back to life?
I know this game will never be what it used to be, but we can at least make it somewhat like it was before. I really don't want to see the first MMORPG I fell in love with die like that.

That would be hard to organise, since most players on the forums are spread across on many different servers.

It's really sad that jobbing is pretty much dead, considering the game is CALLED Silkroad, Jobbing is supposed to be the main focus of the game, something low and high lvls can do together, since all the jobs earn money, if people jobbed more, there would be no need for gold bots.
People should see large caravans frequently as they run to there grinding spots, not player-less characters

Come to persia i've become level 3 (46%) hunter in like 5 days or so (playing 2 hours a day) job population in persia is like (40% thieves , 45% hunters & 15% traders) best trades when the trader is level 90 & there are 3 hunters only xD srsly .

Hard to do it. Outside euro buffers killed jobbing on Troy.

Jobbing would be more common if Joymax fixed a lot of things about the game. The players don't want to work with a flawed system. Outside buffers ruined any fair chances. Hell, I'll even take back popping on trade runs.

Jobbing will return when it is fun and profitable again. Outside buffing and ressing along with gold selling companies ruined the triangular conflicts. The situation is up to Joymax to fix. I know how you feel. I miss all the fun and drama that usually happens at the crossroads back in the day.

I think taking away the 1* popping ruined the game. =( That's why people were theives...and because there were thieves...there would be hunters to kill those thieves. Since thieves can't steal...there are no theives...and only traders with high level hunters remained. =(
I think the OP has an AMAZING idea...i Loved the trading system, but it'd be impossible to bring it back...too many people are 90 and most aren't legit in any manner.
And I miss the days of the crossroads...I'd grind there...and sometimes randomly get killed by red theives. xD =(

Jobbing is still active somewhat in Odin. Since there are a lot of thieves now (and since I have experience of being a thief myself); I went hunter and just for kicks did a small 3 man trade from Jangan to Hotan. We went EVERYWHERE to shake off the ItalianJob guild thieves and managed to make it.

Kirkaldi wrote: Want job wars? Come to ecsro. ugh.... if by job wars you mean artards fighting in job suit at the gate with little difference between that and cape fighting then no point now the funnest job wars are the ones over a trade with gold on the line, now that is worth the time, the kind where you keep getting pounded trying to get out of the ravine, theives coming from both sides that keep coming back while having to fight off your own 5 star spawns when your hunters already went down, and aren't back yet, now that is what is about, too bad its too rare and far between
