if your download is under 2000 then that's probably the cause... my internet speed varies from 500~7000 depending on weather conditions and time of day ><. I rarely get DC, but sometimes lag up to 20 seconds.

i do get lag from time to time, i know everyone may have, except maybe those with lightning fast broadband or isps. all computers since 2 years ago should run SRO no problems with sufficient memory and gfx settings.

yea, they are right, you may have a problem with your connection, and sometimes wireless connections are not that reliable. whenever i do lag i try to restart the client or restart the modem/router, or all together restart everything including my pc. =)

why not try a cabled connection direct to your router then?

i hate wireless. unless you got a good network card, it's fairly unstable.

Anyways, in game turn shadows to nothing and get rid of bloom and any high textures. from memory, shadows made me lag like hell, even if it's set on circle.

Lag may not be only from your connection , it may be caused by Joymax... Sometimes servers are very unstable and laggy ...

Sounds like you got alota latency from youre computer. which is entirely dependent on youre PC spec and youre graphical set up, the speed at which you view everything is based on these factors so drop youre resolution if you have any probs. 8)

I have multiple computers in my house capable of running SRO. I used to have one in the basement on wifi, and I have a good signal (60-70% strength). However, that PC would almost always disconnect within 20-30 minutes of getting online and was almost always laggier than my main.

Go wired to ensure least amount of lag.
