You don't need to look too far to understand...I'm sure there are many forums out there with its members complaining about WoW. People like what they like...and complain while doing what they dislike. There are some gamers that wonder why people like you play WoW..because they don't see the fun in it. It doesn't make them right and you wrong. Its all opinion.
Understand that all the complaints are directed towards Joymax management of the game. People are not necessarily complaining about the game itself and that's why they continue to play. SRO isn't a bad game at all. Its just that it's being managed badly.

Joymax is playing pretty much all of you like puppets and it's quite humorous. You complain complain complain, so they release something "new"(I used quotations because it's not new, it's a spin off of something from WoW done terribly wrong) and you guys are sold and spend more money on it.
Human psychology is fascinating. Yeah I don't have anything else to add to this "achievement"* thread. Just showing support for a fellow WoW player and their words of wisdom. *Achievement is used sarcastically. There is nothing whatsoever about this thread that is worthy of being called an achievement.

No one wants to be told that the thing they're addicted to isn't good, it's much easier to stay blissfully unaware of the actual good games out there. Don't come back with the "it's a matter of opinion" argument, because numbers(meaning the number of people playing each game) don't lie. WoW has millions more subscribers for a reason. WoW has millions of players, also millions more who hate it. So it is a matter of preference. You're pretty ignorant yourself you know?

I think the people who claim they "hate" WoW have either never tried it or are just jumping on the "hate" bandwagon while continuing to play their has-been game, namely Silkroad Online. Everybody I know who used to play SRO and has since played WoW have enjoyed it, and most of them now have several capped characters with great gear. Curve, Myself and Key-J, just to name a few. Everybody who hasn't tried WoW or has seen a screenshot and determined it's a bad game... Well, I kinda pity them. Appearances can be deceptive. SRO looks good. That's far from what it is though. Most people who say they hate WoW, only say that because of the Graphics, and not the gameplay. If you want graphics over content and actual playability, go and watch a movie. Oh and FYI, Curve was wrong on the numbers. WoW had 11.5 million active subscribers in 2008 and that number has only risen since. And then let's not forget the Guinness World Record for being "the most popular MMORPG by subscribers in history".

THX Wrong. See, I pride myself on the fact that when I make a judgment on something, it's an informed one. I played Silkroad for a while. Since 70 cap until 90 cap came out. I've seen how terrible the game is. PvP is a joke. There is no end game. Grind fest lawl? It's a bad game, simple as that. Also Lempi, you pretty much said everything I wanted to say. Kudos sir.

Ive played WoW and i greatly enjoy the game, but i also enjoy sro.
if you guys enjoy playing wow so much then sure, no one is going to poke fun at you. if you dislike sro so much then why do you and lempi bother posting in a sro related section? its not much to ask, you dont see any sro players go about the WoW subsection and totally just post negative remarks about the game. we know sro doesnt have a real positive side but we enjoy it, so let us be.

Oh this is going to be fun. First...of course there are more WoW "addictions" than there are SRO ones. The population is higher, thus more chances. That's a dumb point to try and bring up. Now let's look at your little comparison here. It would work, if you compared it to liking one type of beer over another. There's a reason people choose Coors, Bud Light, Corona over Natty Light or Natty Ice. Trying to say beer in general doesn't work. Then you would have to say Games in general, not WoW. Actually...you probably would like heroin. The reason I don't try it is because it's incredibly addicting and habit forming. Not to mention completely bad for you. My point is...if you're going money, at least do it on something worthwhile. Also, your colored text isn't cool. divine_angel wrote: Just because you don't enjoy it doesn't make it bad. Yogg 0 lights is easy mode, right? Achievements are used as a way of determining who to take to a raid. I'd take someone who has cleared 12/12 ICC over someone who has done 3/4 bosses of the first wing. Simple as that. I don't expect you to understand end game raiding though. Or end game pvp for that matter. Actually being good at both is far above your skill level. Both need reaction time, quick thinking, coordination. It's not easy getting 25 people to be completely in sync for the fight.

Sadly I can't, which is why people still play SRO instead of WoW, which is the better game.

Comparing a f2p to a p2p game is just stupid curve, but if you are doing that I'd say gamewise I like sro more than WoW. The community how ever is probably better at WoW.

I've been way past lvl 20 and I'm saying it's technically f2p. It might be hard but you can play without silk items, it's still your choice to buy them which makes it f2p.

That's not what f2p means. It means that you can play without paying, without having to pay for the game and/or a monthly fee. The fact that you need silk items to pvp properly is something totally different.

Ps, If you hate sro gtfo out of the general sro discussion section.
THANKS Your "informed opinion" is probably seeing screen shots and thinking it looks too cartoony. Also, it's fun seeing you guys qq about this game, yet continue to play. I said this earlier. I've never complained about sro, ever. I thought you made informed comments and judgments

The fact that you need silk items to pvp properly is something totally different. sro is pvp, since u wont be able to pvp ppl with silk items, u wont be playing sro bottom line: sro is p2p not f2p, only f2p for login (if u ever logged in w/o prem) and for pve (lmao) and for losing in pvps, if u would enjoy that.
