One Saturday, I got up to play... and I run the game like 20 damn times to log in. Game disconnects me every time I hit the enter key. After like 30 minutes, I finally get in. I go teleport to DW to train, and the game gives me a CLASSIC runtime error. After getting back in AGAIN, it took like 20 minutes to find somewhere to train.

I have no ticket time, so I had to buy a 1-day ticket, and I don't want to spend ANOTHER $20 silk purchase to get a 4 week ticket. 10 minutes later, these ppls had some kind of problem with me, and KS me for almost the ENTIRE time of my ONE ticket.

I forced myself to do the 3 hours...not because its FUN, but because I have to farm. While ignoring these peoples the ENTIRE time. And the best drop I got was a STR tablet, and no real items. I'm tired of training in the F!KING cave EVERY day of my life. I don't think I've had a "real" girlfriend cept booty calls and one night stands from the bar - for over a YEAR. I think Im gonna get fired from my job. Who knows. Lack of sleep. And I even forgot to fill out my tax forms last year.

(Stopped by spirit power to watch him bot a little too, and make a SS of him - the one I posted) Meanwhile watching all the usual globals from a handful of guilds who hate each other and just won't SHUT THE F! UP. FFS JUST SHUT UP FOR ONE DAMN DAY. NO ONE CARES.

(I logged in last night and talked with the guild. Would you believe? A CCF account spamming global about Nato and Soju AGAIN! AGAIN LIKE EVERY DAY!)

So I go to town and make the one STR tablet I have, and AGAIN it fails. Of course it does. We are close to 20 failed STR tablets now. So I BUY ONE for 3m near the jewel lady thinking I might get lucky. And IT FAILS. AGAIN IT FAILS. OF COURSE. 3m more lost. These ppls wearing +50STR on their gears and mine FAILS. This bot hoe Medicc in a stall selling TEN STR STONES and has "20 stamina stones available" in comment. I had one gear that was STR5, and it assimilated to 1.

I know the bot digs those up for you alllllllll day long.

OKAY so alchemy blows, lets do jobs instead. I go thief, and teleport to DW . AGAIN DISCONNECT. AGAIN AGAIN! Get back in the game AFTER 30 MORE MINUTES and go to don south. All I see is Chinatown and Duck_Club, a bunch of bots I can't even compete with anyway with all their glorious gear.

So I go out the other gate and someone sees me - Lau of course - chases me on foot - chases me on horse - chases me in zerk, and 1-shots me with nuke. Yay. Oh and ever since I saw Lau's gear all over ebay, I feel like everything I've done in the last year for my character means nothing.

There was not ONE thing fun in those 5 hours spent.

I'm tired of checking every single bot list and NOT seeing people from ChinaTown, Duck_Club and NIKE banned. DarkCharmer's bot KSed me for FOUR WEEKS while I was farming at warriors, and almost EVERY DAY.

I'm tired of people posting CCF'ed items all over the forum, and everyone defends them. Oh wait, whats your classic excuse? Something like "just because theres 6 astrals on it doesn't mean CCF, some people have money and don't care. Well I say, those people gotta be really stupid, and wasteful of their money.

I'm tired of all the drama I get in-game because I run this forum.

I'm tired of going outside of the gate and seeing nothing but full SOS botters. I can't compete with these people unless I:

A) Buy gold
B) Buy Lau's items of ebay
C) Bot myself

And I won't do it. So I haven't played.

My October silk charge was 1900 silk. Of legit money. How? We +5'd about 7 weapons, a shield, and more. Also gold ticket, monkey, RR scrolls, and anything else handy. $190 to get beat up by bots and grind a login screen. $190 to get KS'ed and shit talked in the cave for nothing. $190 to hear Soju and H.A. fight over global.

To play SRO, I would first need:
$50 skill allocation pots for glaive
$13 for new gold ticket (maybe)
$4 for a monkey

Thats $67 right off the bat to play SRO. Don't say "you don't have to spend money on this game" because I DO spend my money.

And for sure, I am tired of biting my tongue on 99% of the topics posted here.

I logged in last night... and guess what? My shoulders still stick out like toothpics. They didn't even fix that yet?

About the ccf part (and im not trying to start something cause believe me im also sick of even hearing the word) i have never seen anyone trying to claim that some item that had an amount of "6" astrals was legit on this forum. There was my bow for one which i bought +7 with 6 astrals, no doubt that was ccfed, nobody defended that.

Other than that i have seen items with astral x 2-3 and i doubt people "defends" the item owners. They are just sick of people being short sighted and judging too fast because they heard that multiple astrals = ccffferrrrrr which must diiie!!!11 from their friends.

You have to see it from all the angels

So many of my friends quit sro. One by one, i never stopped to think i would do the same someday. Everyone has their patience, and sro are really putting you on a test.

I understand you now started playing WoW, and i can only say that this game basicly has everything silkroad doesnt have, and lacks of all the bad things we bitch about sro has

Um, well.. this is an SRO forum and I still affirm that. But WoW has its drawbacks too. Some people don't mind these drawbacks but they look pretty disgusting. I'll summarize.

From everything I've read / Seen:

End game is 60. Thats where some people say 'the game starts'.

Okay, you want a "set". A set is complete kind of outfit for your char.

Those items come from an instance. An instance that takes 3-6 hours to complete. The boss drops 1 of maybe 6 different things.

Maybe.... MAYBE its a piece for your set.

If it is, remember there are 40+ people in your group - some who also want that ONE item.

So what happens is, you do the same damn instance - every other day - for over a year - like 999 times... to complete ONE set.

Most groups have some sort of "points" or "rules" system that helps the veterans get pieces for your set. But still. You need to be end-game for like... a year... to finish it.

For example, Satansrogue wants this blade, from this instance. We've done that instance about 13 times now and it hasn't dropped.

Were not talking about a whole set. Thats ONE BLADE. 13 times and NO BLADE. Imagine if 5 different people wanted it.

I'm so sick of that instance, I'm not doing it anymore - have fun.

I'm sick of an instance after maybe ......3.....or.....6 times doing it. Screwwwwww that.

However, I the auction house, and playing high levels for their money. Mu ha ha.

Doesnt sound that bad to me. If it was easy and fast getting a full set in wow everyone would have it, and that would be gay as hell.

reading all of that makes me glad I'm not on Xian. All servers have their share of crap, but i'm thinking Xian wins.

I've now got my second character to 67. I swore I'd never enter the caves again until they opened the new area. Obviously I am there, though I've spent 98% of my time there killing strong and power earth ghosts. You can't fight with, reason with or piss off a bot which occupy all of the warrior and mole rooms.

I can't compete with all the people with full 8thD SOS or even a +7 weapon. I've got a reg blue +5 weapon and reg blue +2 gear. I've lost alot of guildmates from the game because of he same crap.

My only suggestion is to try another game or make an anonymous character on another server. I'm |----| close to starting my third character. The only reason I'm still in SRO is there isn't anything better.

Meh, you will run MC tons, If you aren't the tank / heal, and just dps, two monitors, read forums on the other, dps on the main.
Then run UBRS / LBRS a ton with pugs, run naxx one day if your guild gets some ebayers, or you all have tier 2....It does have drawbacks, but IMO
WoW > Sro by far.

Looks like you just had a bad day. A friend and i had tons of those and we are still playing. I even quit the game 3 times during my SRO career. If you dont like grinding try being a master theif or hunt uniques or something.

I'd say if you play to entertain yourself, why put up with more sh*t? Not like RL don't have enough of that. I understand that people continue something because
1. friends
2. hard to let go of your creation
3. don't wanna change

Seriously, if you think SRO is gonna improve when the new update is out, you're in for a disappointment. The grind oriented way of SRO is prone for bots to take advantages of. The lack of services doesn't help.

And the game Ryoko's playing is highly addicted and if you want to be good, consider your social life and sex life gone. They are reducing the number of men required for final instance from 40 to 20(?) in the Burning Crusade but still require a lot of time to get gear sets.

At least if you don't have the set you can pat yourself in the back because you have a better sex life than those who do.

This is probably worthless as I'm sure you've heard it from others and it sounds like you're over SRO already but,

I say NEVER make & use a single stone. If you want to add some +STR on your gear, save your STR tabs and then make as many as you can.

I've very rarely had a single stone work with the desired result but if I have 3 or more stones I almost always get the desired result.

Nonetheless the alchemy system in SRO is a depression-causing unfair bastard but if you go about it like this you at least get something out of your stones.

I know it is a pain to accumulate them but in the end it's worth it. I managed to get around +16 STR from 7 stones and I thought that was pretty good (5th degree, banked them since I started getting 5th degree stuff and used them around lvl37)

Anyhow, sounds like you're doing better in the bedroom than most of us at least =p

Thats why i didn't want to get WoW, because everyone told me it's really addictive..
But i think You should try Guildwars.
It's non-addictive. don't have to grind for days for level or a gear.you just have to play and finish the story line, which i think it's cool.
No bots as far as i've seen, but even if there's bot the cap is 20 and you can hit level 20 in a week, the game isn't about levels.
F2P. Just have to buy the game which isn't expensive.
No lag.
No Disconnection or if there's gonna be disconnection they will warn you before.
No CCF or item malls thingy.
Ingame gold would never make you better than otheres, also real money.the FoW expensive armor worth around 1.4mil gives the same defence as the 10k armor.. it's just about the look..
awsome community!! best thing in GWs i think.. You will rarely find people coursing and swearing, everyone help!! you would even find high levels standing in low level missions/outpost asking if anyone need help for free.
Anet is a great respectful company, i had a problem sent a report and everything got solved in 3 hours..
PVP/Guildwars/alliance wars/random arena.. really fun..
