Because 90% of iSro players are bots, JM would lose NEARLY ALL players if they would ban bots, iSro is most buggy, botted and most money making Sro.
And i think kSro has different Sp reguiments: To SilkroadSecrets

all other sro version exp/sp requirements are way less than on isro
just another marketing trick from joymax since isro is their biggest money maker why not increase the time people need to get to the max level for more money

i believe Isro exp/sp requirements are same till level 90 after that it almost doubles for isro.

It's rather like that:
There are some goldbots between DW and Hotan at KSRO too, but they are not really a problem, as they don't block the server and the highest ones are at Penons. As i heard, the goldbots are getting banned from time to time and that bot, which they use is not available for private use. There are no player-bots either, as they are getting banned too and as i said there is no bot available for private use. They only have the "auto-select" tool, which is used for plevel at ongs and penons, but, as it is really inefficient, it would be pointless to use it for "grinding". The korean people usually play in pts and they seem to be really experienced at it, at least from what i heard, about them. Most of the koreans get their character pfarmed and to Lv.50 before they start doing pts though.

Ok...were not here for arguments...and to all those ignorant kids who say i cant do this or legits lost..you guys can gtfo. I am so determind to get rid of bots...and i will do it even it 1 by 1...also i wont quit..in 6 months..whoever said that...please smbfd. Guys we can do this together! Well I certainly admire your ambition. I don't play SRO anymore really, so I wouldn't be much help. Things like this have been done before of course, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be tried again. I think they did a great job putting up a fight in Venus (please no flames from anyone, just my opinion) but I guess it couldn't last forever. It may have had more of an impact on Joymax if somehow the whole Confederation thing could have been managed across all servers. HUGE undertaking, especially across every server, not just one.

Then again, as others have said, Joymax simply might not care as long as they continue to roll in money.

It's always worth a try to those who are dedicated to make the attempt.

It's actually having a noticeable effect on the botters. Looking at the main site's forums, there are a number of "players" that are complaining about how "the slave watchers are the problem not the bots".

hahaha nice! Slave watchers shouldn't pose much of a problem for legits. You run to the gate, see there is a slave watcher, don't continue running out of the safe zone. Go out a gate that doesn't have one, or steer around the slave watcher.

Do the slave watchers disappear after a while, or stay until they are killed?

I think Jocka is one of those who rather do radical measures but i agree with him. not just for one hour a day, we should do bot traps 24/7. there is enough legit players high lvl to do that. as we do that some other players should spam thier mailbox, twitter, FB, myspace and related blogs with our problem that isn't gonna stop, it's just gonna get worse!

Yes you are an idiot that buying premium on a game that you arent satisfied with. Sure it's good that Jocka got some spirit, but will it lead somewhere? No, atleast what I think.

ok, that's ur opinion. but what i think is: all of us (with or without premium) have to stop just thinking on ourselfs and take care of other players that can't login and need help. we all can spare at least one hour a day and do something (bot trap, write mail to joymax...)

Joymax knows all about the bots. They just don't care. In order to achieve anything you are going to have to assemble something greater than the confederation that drained most other servers of their legitimate players to create. And it still failed in the end. And even then we are only talking about one server only which will have little to no real impact. Your spirit is wasted.

It doesn't clear up server space instantly, but anything is better than just allowing bots free roaming ability. This is something that takes a very long time to take effect, so eventually it will clear up server space.

It hurts the goldbot companies' bottom line if done on a large enough scale and duration. It also hurts the player bots that haven't reached cap already. Player bots have a goal to reach cap asap with no work input so they can act like asses in pvp, fortress wars, and jobbing. If you prevent them from doing so on every server, they might leave. Of course, this campaign still fails to remove the higher level botters; we have to rely on JM to remove them...

Can we not argue...also yeah...ive had for 3 days straight...friends..and guild/union mates..post up trades and slave watchers...bots have been dying in the thousands..we wont stop...And we got time..so lets see who wins...im determined..and i wont give up..Even if it means never leveling up..lv 98 is enough for me..i will with or without support day by day stop these bots. Ye or the bot developers will just add a option to make the bot manually notice high level mobs infront of them and take another way or something.

Yeah...but at least im trying...im not going to give up...and this is just temporary until i get supporters so we send joymax messages...telling them we arent satisfied with their service and more action must be taken against bots...So far..i need more man power..To even get joymax's attention. Chances are that Joymax's response to your hard work is going to be that they fix slave watchers so that they only attack the person that summoned them or they make it so slave watchers will only spawn in a remote location. They always do things in favor of bots. (ie. removing protectors, removing the ability for npc thieves to kill nonjobbed players, etc.)

Just so all who are participating in this foolishness know. Spawning mobs on ppl has been going on since the earliest days of sro. Last I played joymax had all but removed the possibility of doing so making things like monster scroll mobs only attack when attacked. Further joymax banned players who spawned on people even only once was enough if you got caught.

If there is any impact from this they will start by making the mobs only target specific people. And precident shows they "WILL" ban a few of you who are spawning. Permanent acct ban.

Remember that if joymax serves anyone besides themself it is their customers which are largely botters. If you exploit game mechanics to harras others regardless if they are player or gold bot joymax is within their right to ban you even if it makes them hypocrits.

So in the end if you all have any real succes the likely outcome will be that the legit population on your server will shrink and it will on the whole be a much botter friendlier environment. God I love irony. Anyhow later lemmings.

I dont see why you guys are thinking of getting rid of bots in iSro... the issue in iSro now is more serious : the players are gone !

I've been offline for 3 weeks and I noticed yesterday that the players population on venus has taken another big hit. Now it's one page of parties on party matching, not two, not three, nor five like a few months ago.

I guess it's Aion and other games that drained the population away.
Has any good free-to-play games been released recently?

Anyway you gotta be a die hard fan to keep playing iSro now, or someone who has no other opportunity.... but these people are getting lesser by the day !

I have refrained from buying Aion, i have bought guild wars instead. Something puts me off in the Aion screenshots : the WoW-like interface. If these people can't come up with their own interface looks but instead have to resort to imitating the giant blockbuster WoW to try to make a quick buck out of lemmings, I dont trust them to make a decent game.

But then who makes decent games nowadays? lol
SRO was magical when it was released, one or a few people in the designing team has put heart and soul into the music, the graphics and the general atmosphere.

indeed it's ironical that someone who calls himself legit and anti-cheating for matters of gameplay in an online game would resort to faking real IDs to get on a korean server:)

that's not what hinders me, that's the sheer hassle of having to go through a subscription procedure assisted by screenshots and so on.

sro is dead for me, even if i'm still trying to play i'm not thinking about moving to another sro anymore.

one of the most interesting ones is that iSRO is joymax's cash cow, that they do treat iSRO customers like shit and that if you want respect from JM you need to at least play on KSRO.

dude if you had made this thread at least 6 months ago it might have made more sense. But since then the player population has been divided by 3 or more.

it's just pixels. What matters is the way, not the destination. That's why i love making new chars.
Go find a better game or a better SRO, whatever. Your 98 toon was fun while you played it, and if you bored yourself to hell in order to level it up then it's your loss and your mistake. Have fun while playing, what you get through pain in a game you are bound to lose (and to feeling pain over being attached to it, whereas when you only got fun with a char you are not so much attached to it).

@quintal i think that isn't just fight for "pixels" as you said. i think it's fight for grinding place, party's, ability to actualy kill mob b4 bot(s) kill it. I have ~20 friends that quited sro just cuz there is no good grinding place. they had premium, avatars, pets... what we would say: players with money (trust me, lots of money). you can have lvl30 or lvl100 char u r in same sh1t in sro, no grinding spots, no more partys (at least for players that r lower than lvl50), economy is in deep sh1t (example: i bought lvl64 sos staff for like 40mil 1 year ago and now it costs ~70-80mil) u all know what i mean. bot traps can help, bots will stay in town, other ppl will be killing mobs, i think we can do this for long time, there is enough players willing to do that. and in the and some goldbot companies will quit. we just need to act.
