I don't like the 'in combat' restriction. Then I wouldn't be able to use it against plvl noobs. They should PLAY the game, not trace behind a high level noob who is stealing all of the mobs in my area.

bots will just create a way around it so will only be a strain against ppl who dont bot and ppl who go around wasting the money they made

This isn't the first time a similar system has been suggested and it has the same flaws. More specifically, it's way too intrusive on the users. Not to mention, it's something that GMs should do personally or install some sort of reporting system. The problem with any user-based system is that you tend to have many people abusing the system for their own advantage.
Issue with the system; - NPC thieves/traders with splash damage killing people being flagged. - Multiclient users continuously flagging a single user. - Multiple users continuously flagging a single user. - Player being PKed while being flagged. - Non-botting users accidentally typing the wrong code and getting disconnected while servers are crowded. I would imagine it would cause much frustration. - Users who are AFK getting hit by mobs (i.e, going AFK while at South DW getting hit by Earth Ghosts). - The fee is way too small. An ideal fee would be somewhere in the millions range.
Anyway, those are some of the issues I can think of at the top of my head.

They could try it up to 2~3 times, after that they get DC?
And I don't think it will work, the programmers of bots will make sure the bot can reconnect..

I think this is a great idea. Even if the bots do have autologin someone sitting behind the screen still needs to click a button to start the login process. You think they sit there all day and watch their bots? I don't think so.

Good idea, but JM never use any users suggestions. Right now, newest version of bot, got a AUTO LOGIN & Auto Re-Login. Using capcha thing ^^ So DC after no responding is POINTLESS. And remeber, sum1 can go AFK on spot, u flag him and b00m dc. I think better option is Block for logging back 2h, and u can flag dude, that atack mob at least 20 sec.

id just like to point out at the OT starter that **** bot cracked the captcha's. all they would have to do is add the captcha log in to where it it pop-up it would type in the code. and this idea would get mis-used by a LOT of people. i personally, don't like it.

I think problem isnt that Joymax DONT know what to do with bots, they just dont want to do something with them:)
When they want they can use easy, silent way. Bot programs use own network packages, which they made. For example package can contain that char ID xxx want buy 50 items yyy (Hp pots). When u use bot program it automaticly generate and send this packages. Joymax can make little update and change IDs of items. And learn server to work with both ID, so bot will buy HP pots using OLD ID and legit players will buy pots using NEW ID. and than u have 2 groups, one ban, second live:p I think this should normally work, but nobody in joymax WANT that it works:)

If a human can recognize it i'm sure they could make a program, and if a program can know what codes are on the image verification it can know what +, =, *, ect is as well, and obviously know what they mean and put them together. Naybe if it was a simple question? But unless they constantly change or something they would still just be answered after the question is recognized and has the right answer.
Need Something that doesn't need to be repeated after seeing it. Something unrepeatable, so it's different every time. Better security, isn't the stuff just gettin cracked and removed or w/e anyway? Get rid of Joymax
That should just be for logging in at most, don't need that crap while your playing, need some actual GM's for an anti botting system.
Seems pretty stupid that it would take so much effort into simply getting rid of botting in a game >_>.

An euro party is grinding in higher lvl mobs... someone decides to flag the cleric (right in the moment where some healing bufs went off / someone died) yay! ?
Don't bother taking time to make those things... Joymax won't bother either...

the idea is similiar to the ones implement in ROHAN... anyway the game died.. cuz ppl start to abuse it..
in rohan if u're be put in jail(for a certain period of time) if you failed to key in the image code thingy... and if you failed for the 8th time(accumulative), u'll get permanent ban lol..

I almost like this idea with a few minor defects. Like before mentioned, PvPers. Or Jobbers that may be afk. With traffic as bad as it is, it will be hard for them to relog.

This is a good weapon against Unique Hunters also. Right when they are attacking the Unique stop him in his tracks and make him attempt the image code. Fun, fun, stops him in his tracks while you keep attacking the Unique. Or those pesky squishy wizzards in your area? Pull a bunch of mobs on them, or anyone else who is beeing clobbered by a bunch of mobs, stop him in his tracks with the imagae code, and make him die. Or tick off some people that are jobbing, pvping, ect.
Your idea is stupid...
