I lol'd hard... at all the ppl thinking JM banning bots would help... silly nobs

They do the same exact shit every year. Ban 10-30k bots at a time, server gets populated every week from Mon-(Wed-Fri) than they come back. Now they're not even perma banning. So after a week or 2 they all come back in waves. Woo! If you want a bot-free SRO, go make your own private server.

Here's a summary for all you nobs getting excited:
1) Never IP ban, JM too lazy/dumb.
2) Goldbots will be back within a week.
3) Server only stay populated in part due to the popular free bot used by many going pay 2 use.
4) JM does this every year, learn to pick up trends.
5) After a month or so, JM will go back to ignoring bots and pretend all is good.

I've yet to see some actual high lvl players get banned, like perma banned. This new system just makes it seem like they're doing something, but they could easily ban bots 1-2 times than ignore them. We'll still get ban lists of over 10-30k ppl, but they will just come back in a week or so.

no, they were all banned, but i never used an illegal progam on them. we all know that this excuse flies around here...

lol, every post that is an attempt to show that joymax is trying or at least making some attempted effort , you weasel your way in and bash it somehow ..why do you even still play?..really.. you have nothing positive to say about the game and its staff.. maybe its time for you to make the switch to Aion or WoW

Well, I don't completely agree with him, but I'm playing WoW already and I'm going to try Aion also. I have to say that WoW is actually way better then iSRO imo.

You can't ever! say what the best mmorpg is. You can say what you prefer but you can't say which is best.
I ain't saying that silkroad is the best game even though i love playing it. Wow isn't great for me. Too many quests, but that's only for me. That doesn't make the game bad for everybody else

yeah your right, they never banned whole accounts previously...

They can't ban a single character without banning the entire account. If your character gets banned for botting, you can't even log into the account itself. You lose the other characters (legit or not) that are on that same account.

Joymax (in the past) simply listed the individual character that was banned for botting even though the entire account was banned.

As a veteran, i dont understand this.

The same thing has been happening for years now. every now and again one or more of the following occurs:
A) x number of bots get banned/suspended
B) New anti-bot technology put on SRO
C) some sort of update, which means goldbots cant get in

This always leads to one or more of these:
A) People think the bots are gone forever
B) People think the bots are gone for as long as they will continue to play

However, as always, within maybe a few hours, a few days, sometimes a week or more:
A) The Nerd geeks who make bots hit a breakthrough, and its back to normal


The topics on tis matter begin to remind of people who fall for the same "gullibility" jokes over and over:

wise up people. jebus.

trice , you are right...in a way , in the past, the goldbots have filed in maybe 3-4 hours after the updates etc..

the reason for this thread..is because its taken now about 24 hours and the servers are still populated..so it is a step in the right direction, and no one here can say for sure if joymax is only going to do this once , or if its going to be a weekly thing until proven otherwise ( a.k.a - only time will tell right now)

the anti-bot movement has begun..even if it is babysteps, like it or not, joymax is showing us that they are trying..

for the sake of optimism people..

when i see servers populated for a week, maybe even 2, ill join the optimism. until then ill stick with realism and history

@Itsune: Did you really miss "imo"? Or you don't know what does that mean? It's on or the other.
And well, about the quests part, you can never do all the quests there, and you don't have to.

So if u do know what does it mean, how come you tell me that I can't say which mmo is best. I never did say anything like that, that's why I added "imo"

Everyone keeps creaming in their jeans, fantasizing about highlevel player bots getting banned. Lets take recent event as an example of how joymax works and if the really givva ****. Recently joymax made it so that people who legitimately conceal their own info, and havent purchased accounts would be able to safely change their password. This wreaked havoc on account buyers. What did joymax do? They did a roll back on EVERYTHING and blamed electrical problems. What about this makes any of you believe for any amount of time that this show of dishonosty and lack of integrity would lead joymax to PERMANANTLY BAN BOTTERS?!?! You people are rediculous.
