Anyone with green hair is creepy.

I was onced kicked from a guild coz i was Turkish lol, how low can you get, i dont understand why people say, o turkish people bot and no other country bots. Just really pisses me off.

1)Total removal of the item mall and its items

2)Implement a monthly subscription instead (a flat rate)

3)Increase the exp and sp gain rate so players can cap within a reasonable time frame (hand grind)

4)Grab pets and attack pets should be gained from quests as well as a permanent mount

5)Encourage Triangular conflicts once again

6)Add GMs to the game and consistently ban all bots

The third idea on the list is the most important...It fixes the number one reason why SRO is messed up. The longer and harder it is to get something done the more people will find ways to cut corners. In the case of SRO its botting and gold buying.

The perfect SRO for me:
-5x exp rates for euro and 10x exp rates for chinese
-7x sp rates for euro/ 12x sp rates for chinese
-3x gold drop rate for euro/ 8x for chinese (generally a Euro would spend less gold since they don't need to use hp pots/mp pots while partying)
-4x more quest exp reward, and quests like the euro quests, where it has a story rather than just killing mobs
-Rogue's rapid shot and fast shot get aggro increase (so they can effectively lure) and some kind of defense buff for parties)
-3x more reward for trade runs/ stolen goods/ hunting for a trade.
-Quests based on triangular conflict.
-1 million chinese job suits back
-No goldbots/ player bots/ goldbuyers
-Ingame GMs
-Events like PvPing GMs or unique spawn when uniques w/ 10x more hp and defense spawn ;o
-Combat Arena where people can find people around their level to pvp through a PvP matching of some sort
-No sun weapons
-only 3-5 servers, with channels like PvP channels/PvE channels/ Jobbing channels
-Offline stalling system (You can stall up to 10 things, but you have to be in a special location in the game, and you can check your items through the main website.
-PvP events that happen each 2 weeks and where players 1 vs 1 w/ +3 npc gear and group pvp with +3 npc gear.
-Auction system

Meh.. i can keep going on and on, but unfortunately they won't ever be added :(

It isn't the XP rate rather then the XP curve. The amount of xp needed like seriously exponentiates to a ridiculous amount. Like the xp from 40-41 is like half of the xp you need from 60-61 or something. Just plain ridiculous

Well the problem with that is, this is the Internet. Everything is anonymous. How do you know those "fak mather" people are really turkish? I'm sure being turkish does not require one to log onto an SRO server and scream FAK MATHER all the time. I could log on and do that. I suppose then everyone will think I'm turkish and hate me too?

If you're going to hate someone, hate them for them personally. Don't generalize an entire country or race.

I don't think that's necessary. Instead of making it easier to cap, Joymax should implement more things for people to do at low levels. Maybe they can create certain areas that are restricted to low levels so they can PVP. Maybe put a lvl 30- trade run area, but the rewards aren't that good. Give low levels a chance to get trade experience, but if they want the big rewards, have to go to the "real" SRO world with all the dangers it provides. Perhaps some caves or uniques or something that are lvl 30- only?

If there was more to do at a low level, people might not be as eager to cap. If there are less people capped, there will be less 'danger' out there to make 'real SRO world' PVP and trade runs possible.

The reason they keep exp rate low because they want you to stay with the game longer, buy more SP tickets, more premium ticket => more money. Imagine someone buys Silk for 15€ monthly. Once he gets to lvl 100 full farm, he'd stop buying silk. If the exp rate is 10x higher, means that he'd be lvl 100 10x faster, also means that JM lose 90% of the money

The game is fine, but what use is of a good game, if most ppl just cant log in, or spend half a day trying? Imo if they actually used the money that they get from silk buyers, and buy more powerful servers, they could easily increase the server size from 3500 to as much as possible, and as technology advances, even more.

Having more powerful servers won't help anything. Even if each server could hold 1 million users, bot companies could just log in 999,900 bots and leave only 100 slots for the rest of us.

Instead of putting money into new equipment, they could put it into actually solving the problems that are causing the congested servers in the first place.

They could just limit the # of accounts connected with an IP couldn't they? Have an in game GM alerter, submit a ticket of a supposed botter, GM comes invisible and unable to be splashed or attacked and watches. Get a Auction House to reduce lag in town and so more people can get in, hell they could make it where you get limited slots to use and can purchase more through the item mall =/.

The trouble with limiting the number of accounts you can use from one IP is Joymax only sees the public IP of the network you're on. If you have a network (say at a college computer lab) of 30 computers, and the college puts that lab's router on the Internet with a public IP, the 30 computers will look like one computer to Joymax. Would they only allow 5 accounts for the entire lab?

The very best way for Joymax to take control of the server traffic and 'problem accounts' is to have active GMs that will enforce the rules.

As for the auction house, I think lag can be reduced a bit if they make the stalls not animated. Perhaps animate the ones that are online (maybe not). I seem to remember something a few years ago about them wanting to keep stalls because of the experience of shopping stall to stall similar to shopping the various street vendors in a real crowded city.

That's likely more of a problem with your computer setup, hardware or software, than it is with Joymax or SRO itself. I can run around hotan among all the stalls just fine. I get the occasional half-second lag now and then if I'm trying to rotate my view too quickly while running through a crowded area, but not too bad.

Maybe it's a Windows thing. In my experience, SRO works better in Linux than it does in Windows XP.

Purchase SP? If they did that, then the server would be full of gold-buying, fully farmed to lvl 140 players that 0-gap plvl all the way to cap on horses 24x7. They might as well just allow you to buy a custom-built character from the Item Mall, complete with the skills and masteries that you want as well as what weapon you want (sun +25 of course). :roll:

I think part of the problem with leveling is people get tired of the bot-crowded areas, constantly getting KSed, just dealing with that whole situation... No wonder grinding isn't fun for a lot of people. All the botters level up quickly, many people have a hard time grinding in all that, making their legit leveling slower... so they turn to plvling, complaining about the slow leveling speed and wanting 50x leveling speed.

If all those problems didn't exist, and people just played the game, at all levels, I think it'd be more fun. People could party more, not get in each other's way so much, and the overall game would be more enjoyable for everyone. There wouldn't be as much of a 'need' to race to cap if there wasn't a huge population of cheaters beating you there.

The auto lock attack needs to go. 95% of all fights are finished before they even started. People just don't know it since the stats are "hidden". I hate to say it, but the game needs to be a bit more like an FPS. It is absolutely ludicrous that bowers or any ranged attack cannot miss. At least with ranged attacks you should actually have to aim. This would make the game more based on skill. You should be able to choose to try to block an attack if you have a character with a shield instead of just mashing the buttons and hope for block.

It also needed (way too late now):

* More ways to get exp.
* Randomly generated caves/missions/whatever.
* Real monsters that are challenging to beat, not just take a long time.
* Make the game mainly focused on skill and lower the exp/sp requirements significantly.
* GMs that actually give a ****. One in each town to ban bots.
* Balanced classes/races. Yes, euros are overpowered.
* Auction house.
* Get rid of the silk and just make it pay to play. 10 bucks/month.
* Gladiator/arena type fights with real prizes - be the best = have the best gear.
* Reputation system.
* More flexible trade system. Trade animals should have an attack or just run away when attacked.
* Remove auto-spawning thieves (they are only annoying and never challenging).
* Decrease level bonus vs lower levels

Could go on forever.

That would be pretty easy. Make it so you can only exp/item auto share party with people 5 levels above/below you, unless all party members are in a job suit (no level restriction on job parties). People could still kind of power level there, but not nearly as effectively as a lvl 85 aoe-1-hitting hundreds of mobs to race 7 horse riding players to lvl 75.

Then also make it so job parties get no exp from mobs. Players in a job shouldn't be grinding mobs anyway, and non-jobbers should be out grinding their own level mobs, not breathing on low level mobs to give low level players tons of exp.

See, easy to remove power leveling :-)

I tried to be good to them, but they are as annoying as ants and bugs.
Ive only met 3, yes, 3 turks that actually behaved mature and had some common sense stuffed in their heads. and that in 7 different servers over 3 years.

- If the game was $10 a month to play, do you think there would be less goldbots? Cuz then the company has to pay to create an account and make a goldbot.

- Next event - A Joymax "Now Hiring" Event where you apply online to become a GM and 10 or so from each server get picked and you have the ability to 1 click report goldbots.

-3x gold drop rate for euro/ 8x for chinese (generally a Euro would spend less gold since they don't need to use hp pots/mp pots while partying)
-4x more quest exp reward, and quests like the euro quests, where it has a story rather than just killing mobs
-Rogue's rapid shot and fast shot get aggro increase (so they can effectively lure) and some kind of defense buff for parties)
-3x more reward for trade runs/ stolen goods/ hunting for a trade.
-Quests based on triangular conflict.
-1 million chinese job suits back
-No goldbots/ player bots/ goldbuyers
-Ingame GMs
-Events like PvPing GMs or unique spawn when uniques w/ 10x more hp and defense spawn ;o
-Combat Arena where people can find people around their level to pvp through a PvP matching of some sort
-No sun weapons
-only 3-5 servers, with channels like PvP channels/PvE channels/ Jobbing channels
-Offline stalling system (You can stall up to 10 things, but you have to be in a special location in the game, and you can check your items through the main website.
-PvP events that happen each 2 weeks and where players 1 vs 1 w/ +3 npc gear and group pvp with +3 npc gear.
-Auction system

Meh.. i can keep going on and on, but unfortunately they won't ever be added :(

also a 5X xp and 10X sp wouldn't be bad

and ... INSTANCES . Joymax already copied Wow and Lineage2 . Why he cannot copy the good things ?!
