Lets pretend that this "club" is serious lol
What system would they have that shows a person is 100% a botter? Who would they have to prove it too to start the "hacking" process. What do they do with the gold and equipment that is taken from these accounts? Are they taking it for there own gain, dropping it all in town, putting it in another account then deleted that account? Depending on how they go about of "hacking" these accounts couldn't they be breaking some laws? I don't think getting in that territory is worth it. : \ Even tho it would be great for the ingame economy it's just not the right way to handle it. Even tho it seems 99.99% pointless the only right way of doing this is to complain to joymax about it and have them take care of there game the way they want.
brb gonna get a chocolaty snack, two for me none for you.
I personally prefer the Russian roulette method.

This idea is rediculous and very pointless.
Hack one at a time? Your joking of course, completely utterly pointless and wrong.

If i'm not wrong they hack some random people in one of their video. Moreover, thye hack in many server,I don't think they know if the player who got hacked was a botter or not,I think they hack random people.

If so, who cares?
Were you ever going to change these people's opinion?
Remember, we're only hypothesizing what WE would do given this power / skill / whatever you'd like to call it.
SOOOO, let's move along, if they hack random people, bots, whatever, you won't stop them.

Well, you go to DW south, and you see who sucks at PVP but has full sun and therefore wins, and does not stop talking about it, and that's the botter you're looking for! And seriously, I doubt you know how to hack Joymax :S The breaking laws part-- Who's been persecuted for breaking Joymax's TOS? What's left to enlighten?

What's left to enlighten? Being full sun and him beating you and rubbing it in your face doesn't make him a botter. It is possible to be full sun and not be a cheater. Example friends putting sun pieces together to make 1 full set. I doubt i know how to hack joymax too, was there something i said that suggested to you that i know how to do it? Breaking laws part, this is from the TOS.
Quote: Article 5 (Definition of Hacking)

Article 6 (Hacking Management)
1. Company shall delete or suspend forever the account owned by such hacker and/or temporarily restore all date in existence before hacking.
2. Hacker and the user of hacking program may be subject to civil or criminal liability in accordance with applicable statutes or regulations, and the Company shall not be liable. Back to this youtube account. Here is a comment he left on one of his videos.

having money and same gold - priceless! They are not doing the justice you think they are. Turning around and selling the stuff that they get makes them just as bad as the bots.

now i hav an opinion. bunch of azzholes.
just saw the video again, and noticed solidus11 was ther. he got hacked and NEVER botted, but had full sun set.
a funny thing is that some botters get scared. well, at least the ones that do not use the 2 most famous bot programs nowadays.

I don't approve of the idea that hacking bots is good, however I think bots should be fought in any way possible. don't fight bad with bad, fight bad with good. instead of hacking, create circumstances that make botting impossible (=good ). w/e can't judge over these kinda things.

If you really wanna follow up on this, PM me. I won't spam this topic any longer than the following. If one so much as knows the email and the login of a person's account, their account is easily compromised within 5 minutes. Therefore, one can look on E-Bay for accounts that are being sold, ask to contact the seller, and viola. That person's account is busted :S @ Dopple: I have read their TOS, I know their TOS, but they do not enforce it. Was Reilly Klevre in any trouble when he... messed with... Silkroad's turkey event web page thingy? No. Will the person who put the "f- you" alert on their website ever be punished? Probably not. I did not mean to generalize the legit players with sun sets with the hoards of botters who bought their sun sets. But usually, it doesn't take long to identify who bots and who doesn't in a server. rawrrawrblacksheep wrote: ImmortalKiller wrote: rawrrawrblacksheep wrote: There's no such thing as being hacked, so...

Look, if I truly desired, all I would need would be your damned email and login ID to have full access to your account. I'm in no way exaggerating. And it doesn't take much work to get the E-Mail of a target, simply befriending them could do the trick. Finding the login is the hard part, but nothing a dedicated soul can't do. And how stupid would it seem, in retrospect, to merely give out an E-Mail to someone whom you've developed close bonds with in game? It would seem like such a little, insignificant thing. Of course, it's that person's fault in the first place for giving out personal data of any sort, in which case, you're right. I admit to that.

Telling me what I'm going to say in an argument isn't smart, and bringing up venus isn't smart either. You sound like a tool ESPECIALLY when you put legit in quotations. IMO that's a bot accusation and you should be warned/banned. Don't tell me what I'll say because you know nothing about me or how I think. If a legit finds more drops it would still be fair because he's on the same playing field. I never said hacking was good or right, I simply stated cheaters deserve what happens to them. Also, if I remember correctly the GM's don't decide who gets banned and who doesn't, but rather a higher power. I remember the old 'GM' Pred who stated he did want them banned but was not allowed to do it. Just to clear up whatever you may of been thinking.

It depends on the hacker. Is it worth the time / skill to hack into a SRO account? I'm sure they can find something better. Just because SRO only has nubby hackers doesnt mean people cant get hacked.

Gold bots are just a part of the game like player bots, they aren't most of the problem, they effect grinding and economy, player bots buy the gold and also effect the economy but also effect grinding and the rest of the game(jobbing and guild wars and stuff), i'd rather play in sro with gold bots around while players botting up get banned, at least then the retards who do buy from the gold bots have to grind up, and probably won't make it to the cap.
If gold bots just get banned you still have the players botting around crowding the grinding areas, then you have them finding suns and stuff, also still getting more gold just form botting themselves, then they are farmed and capped and jobbing, and pvping.
"next you'll say "well botters spend more time fighting mobs and will get more drops." why dont you look at the venus "legits" that grind every day for hours on end. are you going to say its unfair that they find more drops than the legits who grind less?" How is that the same since it's a bot doing compared to ppl? A bot goes 24/7, a player goes a few hours a day, a venus legit goes 10? Still less then half a bot would lol. Plus the legit puts the work into, so good for them.

Agreed, anyone who "hacks" a botter should be taught a lesson back. Which is why I think a simple ban would be much better Though I don't agree with the hacking 100% I feel that the botter/gold buyer still deserves it.

I'd prefer them getting banned instead too, but that wont happen ;d.
