In the end, the only thing that will have any chance of getting rid of all the gold bots is...

STOP BUYING GOLD! EVERYONE!!

No gold sales, no gold bots... Or at least no gold bot companies' gold bots. Players may still run their own gold bots, but the numbers would go down a lot.

Less people having billions of gold, stall prices would drop. Less incentive for players to run gold bots to farm their own gold.

So yes... Everyone just stop buying gold.

The end.

Some day I will do the bot traps also.
I don`t care if it makes a difference, but I think it might be a good way for leaving your char overnight online, why not make a bot trap.

Unless you're planning to use some 3rd party software, I don't think you can leave your char at a bot trap overnight, because bot traps actually require a player's attention in order to work. Or maybe you're gonna do something like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59ytJKSfvNQ?

Exactly. If joymax was serious about stopping the gold bots they would ban the gold buyers and they do know who the gold buyers are. The fact that many get so worked up over "yay joymax permanently banned 10 gold bots this week" is ludicrous. Are people really so dense to not understand what is going on here? Or am I just a rocket scientist?

Bot traps have less real effect than banning gold bots which has 0 effect.

I got it.

1. Download all the various bot's.
2. Attach a computer-wrecking virus to each of the bot's.
3. Upload the bots to similar sites the bot sites used.
4. Hack all the bot websites silently.
5. Change the links in the bot's websites to the new links.

This is far off I know since it's pretty easy to find out if your server is being hacked but eh, I like it.
