My little rant about the level 70 update

All right, this might be because I have been really close to killing Lord Yarkan but whatever. I don't know if people noticed but you all think think that the last update forced pressured everyone to change their build to pvp? I am an archer level 70 and judging from my server, there is only a handful of level 7x archers. I know not everyone likes to play archers but when elites spawn everyone is just sitting back expecting Yarkan to just come towards them. I had to do almost all the pulling because bladers and whatnot just wanted to stand back. Does anyone else notice that no one is going for PvE builds anymore?

Cause half the server is bots and doesn't know how to play.

Last night when I killed yarkan, after the one person there that could tank left at 40%, almost everyone else did as well. That left 3 of us for a few hours to take him down the rest of the way.

There was a fourth guy there, SOS sword, SOS shield, prolly other sos gear too. he was barely doing anything. I had to shout at him to even pick off mobs.

It wasn't too hard, it just takes patience. Gotta take shots at mobs when you have a chance and be careful not to die.

It's amazing how many people don't have any clue when it comes to killing uniques.

True, between the level 70 and 80 update a lot of noobs just botted up generic builds, I personally still stand strong behind my archer. Lord Yarkan was not surprisingly strong, its just that I dont think other people should take the kill when all they do is zerk him when all the spawns are cleared and Yarkan is hitting someone else.

Come to olympus and watch people try to lure and get the mobs stuck while other lvl 50 nubs come around and nuke him the other way. Im so tired of people not knowing what is going on. Oh and you cant forget all the people who bought accounts.

I'm pure PvE. My 71 sucks at pvp. I knew it going into the build. I can always farm for some sword skills, but until then I nuke the mobs to death.

Yarkan kills me in one hit as do the elites he spawns, I don't have any sos. As for luring him: on troy its pure chaos, everyone attacks him not the spawns. I just go in hoping I won't aggro anything and if I do I run. Granted we have a few more high levels.

i dont like the term pve
i think pvm is better

well the only skill i picked which is mainly for mobs is ice imbue

which is great cuz i killed every takla mob at lvl 58

at 50 killed all cave mobs
42 killed everything up to yetis

I don't really care about PvP don't really do it that often =/ I have 2 pure str chars 1 blade and 1 glavie(sp farmer)

I have a nuker and an tank. And for me the tank is better because unless all you do is train or camp uniques; anything involving jobbing including trading you are gonna get owned a lot. Of the game when you are not training 90% is PVP the other 10% is PVE. Some nukers do ok in PVP but alot don't so don't whine about all the tankers.

yea maybe in pvp it sux cuz of fireshield and reduce, but mobs dont have that.
