Playing with a bot ? Oh yeah you really "Play" with a bot your fuqing afk how can you enjoy something while your not there ?
Not to mention Botters ruin other poeple's gameplay by taking all the grind spots grinding there 24/7 and BECAUSE of them there is hardly any community in this game

No please don't. We had millions of discussions before like these and whether you may agree with or not both JoyMax and this forum do not allow botting. Discussions like these are useless and always turn into a flamefest and/or bot-accusation-fest.

At least until kSRO puts the finishing touches on their official SRO bot. In which case it will prob come to iSRO and only official Joymax bot will be allowed. In which case I do wonder what the policy here will be.

For the most part, it's irrelevant whether or not someone bots, regardless of the rules. How someone enjoys the game is highly subjective and not something that can be defined (at least not objectively) according to a hivemind's standards on what a good gaming experience is. Some people really enjoy PvE and others hate it, and the general consensus here is that you won't enjoy the game if you're botting, which I highly disagree with. Granted, it's quite a large chunk of the game (derp) but it's only one of many aspects of SRO. I'm not, however, advocating or suggesting that botting is okay and there is an ever-growing list of reasons against doing so.

When I did play SRO, it was on one of the older servers and once botting became a common occurrence, it destroyed any sense of community that server ever had. Jobbing dwindled down, towns became congested with botters selling their drops on AFK stallers, and servers in general became congested with players botting multiple accounts simultaneously. It becomes especially bad after large updates because everyone is botting their little hearts out to get the latest and greatest as fast as they can. PvP stops, jobbing stops, and the whole server becomes one giant ghost town. While you may be okay with botting and botters, it does not change the fact that it has a large negative impact on players who do enjoy playing the game manually and prefer a good community rather than one on the verge of non-existence. It's just common courtesy to do what you please as long as it does not have a negative impact on others.

According to my bud that's exactly what happened on Olympus when he played. And I could see it happening on Iris. I'm not letting it happen on Azteca, as long as we have an active guild.

Yeah, IF ksro bot is finished and IF isro gets it, etc. It does raise an interesting question.

at that point it wouldnt be a 3rd party program it would be part of the game like that one game by PWI. or at least i would hope it would be. they could make it where you have to earn in game bot hours through handgrinding, or questing, or buying it at ridiculous prices.

The first two " handgrinding, or questing " won't happen for sure.

Botting isn't the problem here. Its merely a symptom of the real issue. And that issue is being able to bot/cheat without being punished. It's a foolish notion to hope that the common player should make the moral decision to not cheat when they can clearly get away with it.

I've been saying this for years. Frankly I could care less if a person bot or not. I only care that the people in charge do thier job to make my "game experience a smooth one" which they've been constantly failing at.

Honestly, speaking as someone who leveled from 1-90 in like 1-2 months, while playing only three hours day, with a prem ofc, playing by hand isn't that hard.

Now, from 90-94 leveling slows down a bit. And for levels 94-100 leveling by hand is an absolute bitch. At level 94, I think I was getting like 7ish% an hour? You do the math, leveling got really slow. And at that point, bots actually did level faster then hand grinders. Not in % per hour, we'll always be better than them at that, but even if bots only got 2% and hour, they could be on 24 hrs a day, so they'd be getting 50%, while we were getting like 25%ish percent a day, assuming our party felt like logging on, and actually going to level, which, after a while, they didn't anymore.

So basically, levels 1-90 = easy. Levels 90-100 and then levels 104-100 = bot levels. I heard that, at 104+, bots with 0 gap and prem in a euro pt were getting like .5% and hour. That's idiotic.

I didn't talk about charging $ilk for bot.

But it would be ridicolous if they make you hand grind to gain hands free grind hours .

that would be the ideal situation. grind your time, turn on the game bot thing and sleep. it'd make sense.

I think some people would still try to illegally bot so they can get legal bot time.

as i said before. they COULD easily block third party programs. if sro has the chance to bank off it, they will.

you didn't fix my post. the real issue isn't 'lazy people'. there's a difference in being lazy and realizing that what you are doing isn't rewarded half as much as it should be. also I'm not playing a game to quit being lazy or to get active, I'm playing a game to have a good time and enjoy it. and grinding (which is basically spamming buttons) for hours only to gain some extra percent experinece isn't something I enjoy.

It's not about leveling speed. There is a taiwanese or chinese team that could level up to 80 in 3 days, playing 20/24. So if you play 3h a day, in 20 days, you could be like them. You just fail to play that's all.

And everything is rewarded. You just don't know the limit and always wants more that's all. If you are expecting to be the highest level, lots of gold, lots of sos stuffs, you are doing it wrong. Racing with the bots is just an excuse of your wrong doing. If you look for fun, you don't race.

You don't like to grind? There is private server. There are also game with pvp without level involved.

Tell me what you enjoy in this game that other game doesn't have?
