When silk started up Hackshield showed up in the bottom right corner...plus theres a folder for it too. It doesn't seem to as agressive as some other games I've played though. (such as preventing me from opening stuff other than the game) Think this will amount to anything?

Probably just as fake as gameguard, but we'll see.

I just noticed this as well when updating, the "silkroad guard" showed a either update bar or loading bar.

I wonder how this affects SRO on Linux. It might prevent cheats in SRO, but I don't think it could prevent other programs from running, especially those run by root.

Oh he was intending on using it, to try it out if it works. There is no need to think he actually bots right away unless you got some proof of his botting humping a wall?

Stop complaining , I have cheat engine as well. Just so you know , cheat engine is somewhat useless on sro. Since everything on sro is server sided.

You're really not helping saving yourself... you're just proving you've tried to use it? :/

Why would you want to see if it works without the intention of using it? You wouldn't care if it worked or not.

Bots are already logged in.. also the Hackshield log show the following:
[ 2010/ 1/19 - 2:43: 4:295] [AHNHSUPDA] Start [ 2010/ 1/19 - 2:43:17:846] [AHNHSUPDA] End
Meaning Hackshield starts and close right after not even 15 seconds... So it's not running. Its about as fake as gameguard.. what a useless amount of space to put on my computer joymax.. thanks alot.. dont even work.

Does every thread have to be about tattletales who get a stiff ePenis from "exposing" botters?
sigh.
Gold bots and spam bots are in right now. So probably the only reason servers are green right now is cuz player bots are afraid to log in.
What I really like about this is that it makes PVPing a little easier cuz ppl can't have their sh!t pot vigors and pills for them.

Blatent botter I use CE for many different games, as well as some flash games. And yea, I have used CE in silkroad before. You know what it does? jack nothin'! The game is pretty much 100% server side so anything you do on your end doesn't affect the game other than making animations look slower or faster briefly which is pretty handy for vids. It gives no advantage to anyone using it for this game. Anyway back on topic, to XMoshe, most games that have this kinda thing running have it auto redownload if you delete the folder. I deleted the folder on mine just now and it didn't redownload it....and the games running fine. I guess its just all for show then for now.

Use of Cheat Engine/ Memory address edit programs does not = botting, you dumb ****. I'm sorry but the ignorance of some people on this board, and the fact a majority of you bot- yet jump on each other, is astounding. Just give it a rest.

Either way i'm impressed. The servers have been populated all day long and that's something that usually happens only when JM releases a brand new Legend.
