Hey, does anyone know the chances of an item destroying from +5 -> +6? Obviously i wont be using Immortal, but i will use a lucky stone. Item i am going to try +6 on is my level 98 shield. Hope someone has an answer

seriously, the chance of the item getting destroyed isnt very high, but if u think "well it wont happen to me, im kewl" and try +6 without the immo ull QQ if it gets destroyed, so go to the safe side and put immo on it.

And i never said that u said that, but just by reading what u wrote, evry1 could think that u meant that. And imo immo (lol) is always necessarry as soon as there is a small chance, so after +5 ...
If u always put it after 6 im now waiting for the day when u break an item going for +6 and QQing that u should have put immo on it earlier

Haha I finally logged onto my old lvl 64 glaiver a few days ago. I didn't have any immo on my glaive nor was there any way I could get immo on it. I tried from +5 ---> +6 and it failed + destroyed. lol I felt sad for a few seconds but then I didn't really care.
well I have done my fair share of alchemy and there is actually a pretty high chance for destroying.. unless its a fresh drop or crappy cheap item I wouldn't prefer trying without an immortal.. but always use a steady stone!
if it's pimped FB with br 16+ you should probably put immortal. Or.. you could just buy a clean 98 shield, add steady and make it +6 :d. (And sell the old one) If I used immortal on every +6 or higher item this cap I would be a few hundred dollars out..

20%, i dont think (if higher plus higher destroy chance), its same i think.
Chances of failing increases the higher the enchantment; every time you fail to enchant, there is a fixed chance of a critical fail (item destruction is about 33%).

failing, yes, not destroying.
I know. I did not disagree with your previous statement.

What? It is random >.< Like rolling a dice, you can't change anything about it with silly actions.
Yes, it is random, but random is based on % o.o Alchemy is also random, and it has a certain % for each level of enchant
You're right, I could've said it in a different way. Ofcourse it's somewhere stated what the chances are but no one knows those stats, neither can you alter them.

I know i'm making up numbers, but between trying to go from +5 to +6 to +7 to higher, each time you have chance of destroying item which is about as high as actually getting the +
so 5->6(20%)->7(10%) and each time is 10% to break, so first time to +6 you have twice chance of success as to break item, but to go from +6 to +7 you have same chance to break item as you would to add plus
like I said, I'm not sure on exact numbers but the chances of breaking items I think is constant while adding + decreases with each try

pretty high
other than that if it's a normal item, dont even bother wasting silk on it...might as well wait for an item to drop w/ immortal(s) on it...
i only buy immortals for sun items, other than that i try to look though stalls every now & then for cheap shitty items w/ immortal on em...always fun to try +6 or more on em w/ extra elixers
Ive tried 5 times to go to +7 on my 72+5 at 80 cap. The 5 times Ive tried the bow failed the +5-->+6 and lost inmo and astral in the process. After that Ive stop tring and I never pay again for astral nor inmo. I do beleive that each item has a fixed probability of geting destroyed or lose durability and I got just a cursed bow.

I broke 4 out of 4 lv98 bows trying for +6 all were either given to me or dropped by myself Now i got som bow from Ali Baba and I'm sure am not going to try +6 without immo lol

take precautions... it i was going above +4 id want steady on it AT LEAST! and possibly immortal stone too... then after id get astral and immortal def! if not... get 2 weapons at +5 then go to +6 on one of them.. usually the better one but if you want to try your luck then dont. and just try the worse one first... if it fails stop. if suceeds then try the +5 that u have to +6 to make 2+6's and keep going till 1 breaks.
ps... when is there a chance of something to break? +4-+5 or +5-+6?
