Go Pure INT. However, do not write it off as a one hit build. You can still have some tanking ability if you have excellent gear. It requires extensive Alchemy though. The main point is to have maxed out STR, INT, MP, HP and Parry Ratio + Durability on your gears, in addition to high Physical and Magical defense + reinforce.

For me, I've done well enough on a +3/+4 set at 9th degree, but with 10th degree being significantly more stronger -- I may have to aim higher.

Although, as for the Pure Int vs Hybrid theory, I do have a guild member who did go slightly hybrid on her Wiz/Bard and does very well still. Here is how it worked, she only put 20 TOTAL points of STR in from level 1 to 100, all the rest went into INT. From what she tells me, she still has the ability to one shot anything, and comparing her damage to any other person it remains within a tolerable spectrum, yet she has slightly more tanking ability.

However, that decision lies solely upon yourself. There are no guarantees.
