While yes it sucks big time, you have to keep in mind that there are people in this world who are - sadly - mentally ill (as in: psychological illness).

Yes, they are annoying (not just in game but also in life), but at the same time I feel sorry for them.

One of my co-workers was bipolar (the only reason he had the job, was because someone in management was his relative)... you can imagine what a pain in the a** he was.
