this was VERY true before the update, when repair hammer cooldown was 10min not 30 and only few could hammer, now lets say u have full union, and attacking guild has 110 wild idiots on a rampage attacking gate, the gate will go down, in few mins, to be honest there is nothing u can do to defend it, sure u will kill them but they will ress for with immolation.....only way to defend it is if only 10 of those 110 idiots are euros (cleric) or as i said earlier your server only has 1 powerful union. (urs)

^Attacking before was a problem because the 110 idiots wouldn't stay on the gate. Then you got 50% repair every 10minutes opposed to now 50% repair every 30minutes. I think the timer increase is a little too much, but you are defending 30minutes less. Was impossible to take over a fort if the server was retarded.

Great update to the siege.

And thats why you whipe out the clerics first as far as i could see hotan gate was perfect to defend with the little walls on the side you can take out the clerics preventing them from ressing do that first then zerk the center mob on the gate with a few wizzes and you stopped there first attack. second off the gates are now upgraded it will take a lil longer and a defence of the fort should NEVER EVER just concentrate on the gates the key of defending a fort is knowing when to fall back. The problem is how most poeple lose the fort is that they defend the gate till the last second and they get rushed they get overpowered. and when that happens they never get the chance to fully regroup.
the best thing to do is just keep falling back when you see things go wrong and even if the gate is down a obstacle can be more usefull then the gates used in the right situation
But like i said b4 its all about communication and team play and i have to admit i've seen the stupidity of the average silkroad player so getting that right might already be to hard for some unions

Dutchy is NOT in any powerful union. As much as I like the kid he is talking out his azz. What he says looks good on paper but doesn't work in practice.

AEGE has only two strong unions. NightHawk union and HallOfFame union. With Hotan FW we will pretty much go back and forth. H:FW is a pain to defend. You gotta use the time wisely and use it to your advantage but I think in OUR server it will be almost impossible to defend for a full 90 mins.

We took H:FW yesterday cuz we played it smart and worked as a team. But we have the past 20 months of occupying Jangan FW experience. We know what we are doing. Even with all that it is still hard to defend.

It comes down to sheer numbers and reverse res. Even if you rickroll all the dang clerics, getting to center gate from the teleport area takes 2 secs. Even faster if ya have a C.Post up near it.


Still it was a fun FW. And that is the main thing. We had Jangan so long that alot of the time ppl gave no effort in attacking. So it got boring. Now with H:FW I am pretty sure it will be busy for a looooong time. And the gold is very nice too. :D

Yeah the gold is awsome.
We got a 7 guid's union. And all together 15m.
So thats Bit more then 2Bil per guild. Shared to 24 members that came is alot of money:)
