The idea is not bad but i would change some points:
The player who asks the other player shouldn't be banned for one day but 12 hours and only half a strike should be added because it may happen that the bot users is watching his bot and answers the question...
Additionally they would have to work out some real hard questions because bots are able to recognize a whole lot of stuff.. :(

I suppose the punishment is a bit too harsh for the player doing the banning. Babysitters will be nearly impossible to get rid of. However, one can easily see if a botter is afk or not by pm'ing them. People can always make lvl 1 characters to do the banning as well.

Or just forget all of the "users asking other users questions" ideas and just have the server-sided automated bot detection scripts (detect characters run-stop-run-stopping on certain checkpoints) and active GMs on each server to catch anything that the scripts miss.

They'll catch a LOT of bots that way I'm sure. A lot of other bots will get scared when their capped/full sun/FF friends are banned and may stop botting themselves... maybe. At least the bot population will be reduced.

From what we have seen of Joymax, they are unwilling to do that for some odd reason. It is too much work for them. GMs are rarely on and automated systems can always be broken. As players, we will be dedicated to banning bots because they directly affect our experience in the game.

Try to write that to JM... @Prometheus, i'm serious

By now i'm starting to think JM is just too stupid to ban them... The stuff with their clean campaign... They hopefully realized that they'll lose all their users if they go on like this.
If they finally included a realgame guard... way to go

Instead of using an automated system that can easily be fooled, they should let the users choose who gets the quiz. I wrote something up and sent it to joymax via bug report. I hope they read it.

This is a solution that will take the work of banning bots out of your hands and place it within the player community.

Suppose you have two players, A and B.
Player A thinks Player B is botting.
Make it so that player A can click on player B and force player B take a quiz.
Do not put a restriction on how often you can use this feature, but put a limit on how often the feature can be used on you.
If Player B passes the quiz, Player A is banned for one day and one strike is added to Player A's record. 3 strikes gives a permanent ban. This punishes people for abusing the feature.
If Player B fails the quiz, Player B is banned for one day and one strike is added to Player B's record. 3 strikes gives a permanent ban.

Additional considerations.
To avoid afk players from being banned, only players that have used an attack recently(10 seconds) can be forced to take a quiz.

To avoid players dying from monsters while they are taking the quiz, make it so that players take no damage from monsters attacking them during the quiz.

The questions on the quiz should be things humans can answer easily, but bots have difficulty answering.
An example of this would be "Which of these is bigger? A)The moon, B)an elephant, C)an apple" or "Which of the following pictures is a cat?".

Babysitter => legit banned :roll:
The quiz idea is not bad but it needs lots of work from both side (JM and the bots) to fight each other.
