Players in WoW usually not much better than SRO. Gold buying is rampant, even more so than SRO.

Next they barely answer. They tend to say nothing at all, on guild forums, in game chat. Almost every raid guild I was in, no one went on vent to just chat. People usually only logged on for the raids, during the 4 hours. During those 4 hours, it's just a few people, self proclaimed raid leader, guild leader and occasionally class leaders talk, ironically class leaders sometimes sucked, just was in the guild long enough to attain that rank or was friends. And when there was a girl in the guild, had to listen to her mindless chatter, cause she knew as long as she talked, idiots got a boner which meant higher chance of getting loot she didn't need. Not a complaint about loot, but listening to some 16-18 year old girl talk about nothing for 4 hours is torture.

The ones who only show up for raids are hardcore gold buyers. They just buy gold so they only have to show up for raid, makes sense since the game has become almost intertwined with gold buying now. Just something have to accept. But luckily in WoW, gold does not equal greatness. Can't buy the best gear with gold and cannot buy rankings in Arena, they fixed that. But makes gaming easier, which is why it's done.

Hell, I'd say 50% of guilds I was in had gold farmers. Players just farm and sell in AH and sell gold to their guildmates. Very amusing.

Maybe this was just with hardcore guilds. Maybe the more friendly guilds had more chatter, but in the hardcore raid guilds, no one cared about who was in the raid. All they cared about you came with your raid materials, arrived on time, and knew the boss fight and executed your role. They don't care about your opinions, or anything about you, just progression and loot. How is that better than a botter? Barely knew any of the guildmates except for maybe a few who actually joined a hardcore raiding guild not just because of loot and progression.

As for character development, are you kidding me? Are you joking? Unless you have the cookie cutter Talents you don't get an invite to a raid. Class leader/raid leader will look over your skills and determine whether you get a raid invite or not. You don't even get to choose what skills you want for your character. For every class, the raid will say we need you to have this skill, which means you may have to waste talent points just to get that skill. Either way, among Shadow Priests, almost every Shadow has the same skills, same glyphs, same talents.

And of course, you have zero control over your character's attributes and Blizzard has been minimalizing the use of racials, aka, every race can use devouring plague, which used to be an undead racial, making them OP as Shadow.

SRO has far more interesting skill, character development I think. Just because it doesn't have glyphs or talents doesn't mean it's worse. Most of all you can decide how you want your character to be and won't have to listen to some other asshole whine about your character.

The only thing I can think of that truly makes WoW superior to SRO is the customer support. And that is huge, the reason why players quit SRO. I don't think people quit SRO cause they stopped liking the game, but they got tired of no in game support and lack of interest from Joymax to maintaining their game.

One time I tried to log in SRO but was put into the queue system.. I got bored so I went to the park. At the park there were some hippies playing Ultimate Frisbee, they asked me to join them so I said OK, after that we sat by the lake and dangled our barefeet in the water. They lit up a joint and asked me if I wanted to hit it. I said no thanks I have to go pretty soon. So a few minutes later I drove to the mall, it was across town, when I got there I decided I would visit old navy to buy some jeans , but than at the last minute I went to the cricket store, I had a few questions about their phone plans, they seemed to be incredibly cheap but I realized that some of the basic features such as voicemail are not even included in their cheapest plans, in the end the cost is roughly around what I pay for my current plan with AT&T so I didn't switch to Cricket just yet. After I left the store I did end up stopping by old navy and getting a new pair of jeans, I think relaxed fit.

I used to defend Silkroad to the hilt. I never even really played another MMO. I downloaded a free 14 day trial for LOTRO (Even though I have never seen a lotro film). I was converted straight away and now 8 of my friends who were all SRO addicts have also uninstalled the game never to play again and play lotro. I logged on once to give out all my gear (Including +9's) and never felt happier. Plus all I could see was bots, What a mess SRO is. This is the first time I have been on these forums for weeks, I was just curiuos and wondered if people have seen the light yet. Obviously not  I now pay about $15 a month for my MMO, Not $50. I also spoke to a senior GM in game after about 1 week playing it (Would never happen on SRO). Joymax and SRO is in a state of unrepair and is going downhill fast.

I'm very happy I broke my "addiction" to this "game".

wrong.

In case you haven't noticed, SRO is free to play whereas WoW is 12/15 bucks a month.
Now if your post is directed at the suckers who pay to play SRO, I agree.
Got to be a real major screwed-in-the-ass sucker to pay for such a game as SRO.

I love it as a free to play game. I would despise it totally as a pay to play one.
I suppose the people who pay to play SRO just have no idea what they're missing. The REAL games out there.

I know you can have a blast playing silkroad if you choose to pay a ridiculous high amount of money each month,

I'm having a blast without paying a dime and I dont see how I would have any more fun through paying. Oh right, premium. Only you see, I don't like taking it from behind. If I had to play to LOG IN in a shitty wilfuly-bot-infested game like SRO, I wouldnt be happy. I would have been bamboozled by pathetic koreans. That would kill me sense of dignity or something.

Quote:
but there's way better games with way better customer services available out there. The only fun part about silkroad is pvp anyway, and that is dominated by the person willing to spend the most amount of money on the game.

So many sweeping generalities. I rarely PVP. Party-PVE is fun in SRO.
Don't case your case for a generality please.

Quote:
For one i know Aion is in beta testings right now, the visual effects looks stunning, and so does the gameplay. Kinda like a mixbreed between the best aspects from WoW along with a lot of aspects from silkroad.

I dont know. I have seen some Aion screenshots showing the very same interface gimmicks as WoW's and from then on I have lost any interest in and reespect for Aion. If they cant come up with their own interface while intending to steal some of WoW's market share, they're not worth my time.

Then I have read posts on igamelegit claiming Aion has the best PVP system on Earth. So I dont know, but i'm prejudiced against Aion.

Quote:
I for one will surely give it a go.

Go ahead.
If you pay to play, nearly any game is better than SRO.
If you're a freeloader, nearly no game is.
