IMHO, farmed players or the ones who takes taxis usually didn't know how many seconds it takes to them to cast their skills or what it's effective against other classes. Moreover, I've seen 2h warriors who didn't use Sprint Assault or Turn Rising at PVP. LOL, What are they thinking?

your first character just get a feel for the game. learn how everything works, then work from there. if you like it, farm later on. if you don't like your character but understand the game and still wanna play, farm a noob.

I didn't farm my first character until the 5xs. I'd say play with your character first, making small gaps and going until you get a feel of whether you want to keep it or not. You can always farm later or start over.

yes u need to farm. at least 50k. otherwise ull quit before u even enjoy the game
For most beginners, that would mean they'd quit before they even get that much. I'd say for a first time, play. Than if you like it, farm.

maybe get to 30 to see what char you like to play but seriously thats it. honestly id hate to see some one get to 70 and then create a new char because it would just be better for farming

Im a believer that your first char should be fun, if you come into a game.. and its all too serious.. like "YOU NEED FARM YOUR CHAR TO BE ABLE TO PLAY" I think it would of ruined it for me.
When i first started i had no idea what i was doing, but the fact i was trying new things out was the key to my success. For example, my first character was a random, INT/STR, with force, cold, light, bicheon, pacheon everything i could level.
I soom realised in my own time that it wasnt supposed to be how it was, i painfully grinded to level 30, then made the choice to start over. I think, having fun and farming when you want to.. in later levels is better for new commers to the game. But, for more experienced.. starting a new char is almost natural to farm atleast a few k's of SP to get you poining in the correct direction.

Farming your first character seems like a waste to me.
first of you wont even enjoy the game for the first month you play because the only thing you'll be doing is either farming yourself and be stuck at the same mob with the same skills for so long or you have a friend who talked you into playing the game who farms you at ongs where you just sit being afk.
Second the chances of farming the correct character right away is low. You probably don't know what kind of character you like to play with or what kind of stats you want it to have.
So I would advice to just play a few different classes and try out different skills first before farming a character which you will use to pvp, ctf or try to get max lvl with.
P.S. it took me more then 10 different characters of lvl 40+ to just find out which one I liked most and after that I got 1 to lvl 74 before i remade another one that I decided to farm at ongs.

Didn't farm -> slowly opened a gap whenever I felt like it. Nearing each cap I had a high gap to be 'fully farmed' and that's about it. Got 90k SP in a month from 90(23%)->93(30%) on a 0-1-2-3 gap....worked for me.

This game does not require much farming. The only reason it does is because most of you people do not play the game the way it is meant to be played. Sorry, but 3 masteries is not the way to play. Partial blame should be put on Joymax for not correctly dividing the masteries the way it was meant to be allocated. The other blame should be put on people who think that they MUST be the absolute "pwnage", thus must get every single skill. If Joymax would let them, these fools would use up 6 some odd masteries. And yes, I know many people who had almost 4-5 masteries maxed out. And then they complain about not being farmed.
