Moreover,thye hack in many server,I don't think they know if the player who got hacked was a botter or not,I think they hack random people.

I still don't think they can hack someone. People with worthwhile accounts are smart enough to hide their info in such a way people cannot find out their accounts email/id/pw/SA etc. If you do find out, chance is you got an account with nothing on it or some lvl 20 alt >.>

The overconfident botters (I presume you are referring to full sun or semi full sun chars) are especially the ones that knows how to hide their info O_o

exactly, theyre assholes, but i dont give a sh*t that someone bots or whatever
even if u buy a 90 acc, in 2-3 days u will learn to play it, try out the skills and make ur own strategy
dont think that legits are sooo good a pvping at stuff

When someone loses their account, it's 100% their "fault", whether it be a bad password, downloading something they shouldn't or sharing info.

just saw the video again, and noticed solidus11 was ther. he got hacked and NEVER botted, but had full sun set.

a funny thing is that some botters get scared. well, at least the ones that do not use the 2 most famous bot programs nowadays.

I don't approve of the idea that hacking bots is good, however I think bots should be fought in any way possible. don't fight bad with bad, fight bad with good. instead of hacking, create circumstances that make botting impossible (=good ).

If one so much as knows the email and the login of a person's account, their account is easily compromised within 5 minutes. Therefore, one can look on E-Bay for accounts that are being sold, ask to contact the seller, and viola. That person's account is busted :S

I have read their TOS, I know their TOS, but they do not enforce it. Was Reilly Klevre in any trouble when he... messed with... Silkroad's turkey event web page thingy? No. Will the person who put the "f- you" alert on their website ever be punished? Probably not.

I did not mean to generalize the legit players with sun sets with the hoards of botters who bought their sun sets. But usually, it doesn't take long to identify who bots and who doesn't in a server.



Look, if I truly desired, all I would need would be your damned email and login ID to have full access to your account. I'm in no way exaggerating. And it doesn't take much work to get the E-Mail of a target, simply befriending them could do the trick. Finding the login is the hard part, but nothing a dedicated soul can't do.

And how stupid would it seem, in retrospect, to merely give out an E-Mail to someone whom you've developed close bonds with in game? It would seem like such a little, insignificant thing.

Of course, it's that person's fault in the first place for giving out personal data of any sort, in which case, you're right. I admit to that.

i figured someone would say this.
look what characters theyre hacking. theyre capped wealthy characters, not gold bots. the econemy in sro is effected partly by player bots. but the gold bots are the real problem.

without gold bots, there would NEVER be traffic, no matter how many people botted their characters. prices for everything would drop enormously. it would even the playing field.

next you'll say "well botters spend more time fighting mobs and will get more drops." why dont you look at the venus "legits" that grind every day for hours on end. are you going to say its unfair that they find more drops than the legits who grind less?

"hacking" whether its using bruteforce or a keylogger or w.e is wrong and alot worse than botting in a game where the GMs allow you to bot.

Player bots have their OWN gold bots. Who's to say gold buyers shouldn't be hacked as well? I never said that. Gold buyers create bots. Telling me what I'm going to say in an argument isn't smart, and bringing up venus isn't smart either. You sound like a tool ESPECIALLY when you put legit in quotations. IMO that's a bot accusation and you should be warned/banned.

Don't tell me what I'll say because you know nothing about me or how I think. If a legit finds more drops it would still be fair because he's on the same playing field.

I never said hacking was good or right, I simply stated cheaters deserve what happens to them. Also, if I remember correctly the GM's don't decide who gets banned and who doesn't, but rather a higher power. I remember the old 'GM' Pred who stated he did want them banned but was not allowed to do it. Just to clear up whatever you may of been thinking.

lol, im not accusing anyone of botting. i was refering to a certain someone who leads the confed and was caught botting. i dont support botting but i have alot more friends in sro that bot than legit friends. just because they let a program press 1,2,3,4 for them doesnt mean they should be hacked.

You have your views, I have mine. Cheaters should be taught a lesson just as criminals are. Same thing different setting.

Dont be silly. It depends on the hacker. Is it worth the time / skill to hack into a SRO account? I'm sure they can find something better. Just because SRO only has nubby hackers doesnt mean people cant get hacked.

Gold bots are just a part of the game like player bots, they aren't most of the problem, they effect grinding and economy, player bots buy the gold and also effect the economy but also effect grinding and the rest of the game(jobbing and guild wars and stuff), i'd rather play in sro with gold bots around while players botting up get banned, at least then the retards who do buy from the gold bots have to grind up, and probably won't make it to the cap.

If gold bots just get banned you still have the players botting around crowding the grinding areas, then you have them finding suns and stuff, also still getting more gold just form botting themselves, then they are farmed and capped and jobbing, and pvping.

How is that the same since it's a bot doing compared to ppl? A bot goes 24/7, a player goes a few hours a day, a venus legit goes 10? Still less then half a bot would lol. Plus the legit puts the work into, so good for them.

Which is why I think a simple ban would be much better Though I don't agree with the hacking 100% I feel that the botter/gold buyer still deserves it.

I'd prefer them getting banned instead too, but that wont happen ;d.
