do you think it would be better if the stall network spanned across all servers

like a blade on mars can be sold to a guy on alps..

what do you think?

that would be so nice :)
but that cost server traffic speed, that means more lagg, error and bugs and disconnects :)

let's think a bit :P
let's say that u have a lvl 90 char on the server X .
a new server , Y , opens :P
u gonna be the big bad boy on the Y server by transfering your stuff :P

a better idea about stall network is if they make a auction house :) so no stallers , servers will not be crowded :)

your idea is impossible that includes merging of servers data.. it would be more posible if you said..we can buy items in stall network even we are not in town,like your in karakoram. and can still buy in stall network.. :D

Thats not so usefull.
Auction house is awesome idea. Just put your items to NPC and and you can go offline, this would definetly reduce trafic.

not that my idea is impossible by any means. it should not increase traffic by much at all as it would be just listing items from other servers. and about transferring your stuff to a new server you could do it but it would be hard.. you would need to stall stuff at like 1 gold in a stall network and buy it on the other account before anyone else buys it.. and if your new to that server you will not have all kinds of gold unless you stalled a hp pot from your new server char bought it with your high lvl then you could move gold around that way.. but it is not unfair as everyone can do that..

i just think it would be a nice idea. it would even out the economy on the servers and cut gold buying down.. why would it cut gold buying down? because gold buyers that start new servers need gold and if they can get gold from there old chars then no need to buy gold on new servers. witch will also cut some gold bots out as they will not need as many.

auction house would be a better improvement, of course there would have to be some kind of fee and a limit of how many items you could leave in the house at a time

this idea is great because some people dont like or want to stall so sell some good items to npc's, items that some would like to have or cant find because they just are not for sale

the cross server stall idea would not work, too much programing and bandwidth problems, plus the others already mentioned

Why bother even attempting to come up with ideas to maybe help this game? Everyone knows none of them will ever happen, especially this one. Come on, really. 2006 called, they want their hope back.

Yep.

Also, I like the way stalling works. I have to stall every night. It is the only way I can get on in the morning unless I want to try and connect for 4 hours.

no so ... older servers got more gold than new ones and they can buy up all the sox in the newer servers. players in newer servers will never get a fair chance of owning their sox.

I don't think the number of stallers in town is anywhere near as large as the number of characters (bot or not) out side town grinding, pvping, jobing, etc. Getting rid of stallers wouldn't cut down on traffic that much. The only thing it would do is help reduce lag in town because of less data that your computer has to load.

Then again, that has more to do with your computer's processing capabilities than it does actual network traffic. There shouldn't really be much traffic being transferred for stallers (as opposed to data transfers for people that are actually moving, grinding...)

No where near impossible. Joymax could easily set up server-side communications between their servers.

I don't see anything wrong with balancing out the economy on the servers. If things didn't cost so much money, people might not be so quick to just go buy gold (hopeful thinking). If people can buy the same item from a cheaper server, not as much "need" to buy gold. You may just see the gold bot population drop some... maybe.

If someone on Babel has a 9D sun weapon they want to sell for 5 billion gold, does it really matter that they're only getting 1 or 2 billion if all other goods are reducing in price as well because of the balancing effect cross-server stalls would provide?

People on the grind can buy pots and pills, maybe for a higher price, but no need to return back to town. Everything you need could be stalled. Or, if they've got a second comp, selll themselves pots thru the network. :)

I'm loving the auction house idea. Leave your stuff with an NPC at the auction house and go grind or even log off. You check with the NPC later to see if it was sold. That idea will not negatively impact server traffic but do the opposite rather.

For cross server purchasing that can be done outside the game on a server dedicated for that purpose. Consolidate all the data from all auction houses onto this outside-of-game server and have it on the SRO forums. Again, no impact on game performance. Its only the auction houses on each server that is being queried anyways. Not the entire game. If a website like rev6 is telling us what players have I'm sure it shouldn't be difficult to implement.

Granado Espada has the auction house implemented in it

basically 1% of your stalling fee is required to stall your items. you cna only deposit 10 items at once, and the items are registered in a stall network for 24 hours. gold from sold items are collected from your storage, and any unsold items are also put back in your storage. The catch is that when your items don't sell, you still need to pay the stalling fee.

this auction house would help legits but since there are more botters it would help them even more.
those botters who have multiple chars (especially those high levels that need to stall) have no more need to stall and they can bot more get more drops and put those items in the auction house selling them for their inflated price, gold bot companies that run a few clients to stall elixirs now have no need to stall and can run that char for its original purpose.. to bot gold while making more gold from this auction house, but if nobody cares about the inflation this would bring then its ok :D
