Its kinda messed up...You'd think that Joymax would do something real quick to get rid of the blood sucking leeches that are these gold selling companies who are practically getting free money off SRO and pissing off the community in the process. A simple fix like eliminating gold drops or reducing it to nearly nothing would do.

Its like having a business and watching thieves coming in daily to grab some of your inventory while disturbing your paying customers and then sell your goods for themselves with almost no expense to them and you sit there watching it.

There is only one sensible conclusion to all this. And it has been mentioned a hundred times now. And that is Joymax is a part of it all. They own the gold bots. Or they're charging the gold bot companies a fee for doing this. How else could this problem persist for this long?...

Joymax is getting paid there for joymax can't be bothered to do anything. We can come up with solutions to the problem all day long but until joymax decides they want to change it is like pissing into an ocean of piss. It is all still piss as far as the eye can see and nothing changes.

Silo they were not trade bots. The were the last of the actual chinese gold farmers on SRO. They used to run 1* back and forth all day long to farm for gold. They would never talk and you could shout at them in english all day long with no response. So everyone thought bot. Walk up and go ni hao though and that was a diff story.

lol at ni hao, silo is not chinese.

Why not a random event like runescape, basiclly after a few hours of playing you get teleported to a mini-game until you beat the minigame its pretty f un.

Never said silo was. I said those traders everyone thought were bots were chinese gold gold farmers mostly. They would not respond to english but would respond to chinese. I would say ni hao and would get a bunch of squares back

JoyMax need's GM's, but if they pick player GM's, theyll probably stupidly pick the biggest botters on the servers, and we all know they wont pay someone to moderate the game... :(

That's what it comes down to. If they had even 1 GM working the 9-5 standard American work day, just have him ban the sunwhoring player bots. One of the reason that so many people bot is that so few get caught.

why a 1* trader afraid of player thieves lol?

The same thing i did back in the 60 cap. I popped 1 star traders all day long, 1* bots would be an easier target. They wouldn't run away or hide like a player would and due to their low level they stand no chance against any 50+ npc thieves.

Still would take a long time. Money just doesnt disappear.

you can make money disappear by increasing the price of all npc items. decrease gold drop rate, decrease the npc price of drop items. all of this will encourage people to stall and start jobing again. also, JM can do sever shut down every 8 hrs for 10mins so that the bots cant go afk all day.

I wouldn't mind every three hours. >.>"

tbh i dont know why you/ we still discuss about bots, goldbots and stuff. we all know the problems, know the possible solutions and the truth is we just cant do anything to change that, except wait for JM to do something. Or quit.

I've been really pessimist about sro. i thought it had just no future, now im about to be sure.

SRO has no real future for anyone who obeys the rules and tries to actually play the game. It has not for a long time. If you are not on SRO for friends then you are wasting your time worse than usual.

I'd vote just stop gold from dropping all together, it's not that big of a gain anyway for a single player, just start a char off with 50k, let em get gold by selling drops and doing quests and fix the stupid job system and let em job for money too.

Sure it would suck but alot less then how the game is now.

I agree it would suck alot and would eliminate many, if not all gold bots, but it might eliminate alot of acually players, some ppl granted not all play for pvp, play to be better than eachother, and if you limit there success in that to 1 of 3 jobs they might be inclinded to quit, but inturn that would free up server space and no1 cares about them anymore cuz they dont have to read, Cannot Connect to Server.
And if we left we let gold making up to jobs and quests, there would have to be serious quest over haul, quest rewards gold wise are absolutly terrible, only reason ppl do quests of for items, inventory quests, or if there grinding in a spot where you have to kill X amount of a monster, no gold drops is ok but the changes qould have to be more than "little tweaks" to make this game re-enjoyable.

yah no what else could be a scary thing, maybe, just maybe, joymax owns all the gold bots and all the gold sites, and they sell it all back to us and complain about bots as not to make us aware we are being horribly horribly scammed, thats just a load of bull i know, but could you imagine if that were true? Round of applause to them if for some reason it is.
