Get a motherboard that can handle one of the new Intel Duo's, a fat GPU like two SLi 8800GTX's, 4gb of ram and a 500gb hard drive. Whatever extra can be spent on a nice ass PSU, Dual layer DVD burner and CD burner.

Those processers arent really made for gaming, a C2D e6600 Intel is good enough already, and its way much cheaper than the extreme quad cores. Are you planning on custom building the computer? Or getting it built then shipped to you?

my processor is only a amd +4200 duel core, they are pretty old now but bioshock runs like a dream on it.

Games now are finally starting to use BOTH proccessors on duel cores (no, they didnt before, even when they were supposed to, like fear. They just used one whlie the other sat their idle or handled some other programs/services you have running) so slightly older duel core proccessors suddenly get twice as fast!

You might want to get something a bit better than that though if your expecting to play games like alan wake when it comes out, that will probably eat my processor alive, i need to upgrade for that :banghead:

Mother Board That Supports Quad Core.

KICK ASS:
-Ram (SLI Ready)
-Cpu (Quad Core)
-Gfx Card (nVidia GeForce 8800 GTS, DX 10 Support, 320mb)
-500gb-1tb Hard Drive (For the massive amounts of porn you will have)
-6-8 Channel Sound (I dont even know what this is, but i bet its good)
-And a smexyness chassis (case) with lights and a big motherfawking fan (Like the size of one whole side of your case)
-A Credit Card For ze Vintage Pornography.

And theres your super computer.

yet...

once multi-core programming gets going, it will blow dual-cores away. And might as well go big if you have $1500 to spend on a comp.
